Bill and Sherlock Holmes

So I'm rewatching Season 5 with Bill, who hasn't seen it before. We've only watched the first two episodes, and he has decided that he likes Amy Pond. *sigh*

He also finds The Crack! to be extremely annoying. Perhaps we can forgive him for liking Amy Pond.

Anyway, the first disc of S5 contains a preview/advertisement for BBC's Sherlock Holmes1 ( Read more... )

OMG! Sherlock is FANTASTIC! I actually watched the last two episodes again with one of my Victoria friends (introducing her to it) and even though it's at least the 10th time I've seen it, I never get tired of it. It really is fantastic. And the best part is, that because there are only 3 episodes it won't take you too long to watch them. In total its' about 4.5 hours - which, is like the equivalent of 2 movies. It's definitely less of a commitment than some other shows...

Also, point out to your husband, not only is it not in the 19th century, it's Sherlock with TECHNOLOGY which is so much win I cant' even tell you.

She rubs me the wrong way, mostly. I don't like how cavalier she is with Rory or his feelings. I liked her a lot at the start of the season, but less and less the further we went. I'm very curious what will happen in the new season, with Rory on the TARDIS too. (And I totally love Rory. I need a Rory icon.)

Hey, I got an e-mail notification about this reply! Huzzah!

Personally, I like Amy because she reminds me a bit of Rose. And I think the dynamics of the Doctor having a married couple as his companions could prove interesting, so like you I'm curious.

In addition, I'm a guy and Amy wears short skirts. What's not to like? :)

She reminds you of Rose? Why? Because I like Rose, but she doesn't strike me as quite the same personality.

Also, Rose did not tend to wear short skirts. :)
