Seeing as how my journal has become a haven for venting and posting emo things, spattered with the blood of my sadness drawn with a ceremonial dagger used by the coven of Twilight Eternus, Round Rock branch (yes, it is made up of tweens who are Twilight fans)...I began to think...how can I turn my journal from that into something written by someone ( Read more... )

Well, the game itself isn't awful, it's actually somewhat fun. I just have a serious grudge against Guilty Gear >.> Hence why I decided on doing an un-biased review before I went on a rant xD

Actually, the whole reason I dislike the game at all is because it's too much like Guilty Gear. So no, you didn't really offend my delicate fanboy sensibilities, but rather trumpeted the concerns of the OTHER, quieter half of the GG fandom that just sort of rolled their eyes at BlazBlue.

I thought I had heard somewhere they had meant for BlazBlue to be some kind of poorly thought out bastard sequel to Guilty Gear...is there any merit to that?

And if so...jesus christ. Guilty Gear IS a guilty pleasure of mine, despite my issues with it...but goddamn.

However I still kinda like BlazBlue due to just how goddamn pretty it is.

Well, Arksys does not currently have the right to produce another 2D GG fighter because of a fight over the ownership of the series AS a 2D fighter with Sega. It's really fucking complicated.

Ah, a more clear picture begins to be painted. Hence the undertone of bitterness and sarcasm I picked up in the baseline of the game.

It's just the insanely over-powered "badassery" mechanics that get my panties in a wad.

With most KOF games there are at least visible changes, rather than the slight mechanics tweaks of most of the Guilty Gear releases.

Not to mention, I am being quite the biased elitist and I fully admit to it xD
