Recharge
This morning I am taking a break and just sitting sipping coffee for a minute while watching the girls play on our (huge super-awesome) porch outside. They have been begging to play out there, but it was full of stuff from the move, so I cleaned it up a bit, straightened mostly, swept and let them have at it! Zoo
We went and explored the Louisville Zoo today! Got a membership which gets us into the Science center too, pretty cool :). The Zoo is pretty good, not great. Of course in comparison I have one of the best Zoos in the country, the San Diego one. Although we always liked the Wild Animal Park better, and this Zoo is certainly not as good as that! Lou-a-ville
So, I guess we live in Kentucky now lol! I'm so terrible at this updating thing. Anyway, the short of it is, we moved out of Oceanside and into Louisville, KY. And Stephen is now actual Math faculty at University of Louisville, woo! And we're (once again) surrounded by boxes and cursing all our, ahem, *stuff*. Siiiigh. -
Holidays
:whew: we've had a busy couple of months! We spent 3 weeks at Thanksgiving in Baltimore, and are in the middle of a 3 week visit to Seattle for Christmas. I have to say, thank goodness our girls are good travelers! It's sorta weird to be watching all the coverage of the hurricane, blowing winds, driving rain, flooding, etc...and then look outside and see perfectly calm clearn blue skies. I keep catching myself thinking "oh goodness, we need to be prepared!", and then looking outside and realizing I'm on the wrong coast lol. Obviously, someone needs a little ( Read more... ) -
Poor neglected LJ
This poor blog is so neglected lol. I love re-reading old entries, and always mean to write more when I do..I just never seem to. Anyway, things are puttering along out here in SoCal...the weather and scenery is absolutely beautiful, but the prices and cost of living is horrendous.
