Clearing up

Yesterday's #happythings was one of those spring afternoons you spend in the garden just endlessly clearing.  In this case, the Resident Geek and First pruned our ancient apple tree (it produces a lovely local apple, Rosamond Russets) and I started clearing about an inch of accumulated weeds and earth off the brick patio which forms the back third

Oh - a proper apple tree - I hope you get a good crop from it!

Last year's was great, and of course we couldn't get at half of it because the garden was full of the builders' stuff, so a lot of it went to waste. I'm hoping that having pruned it, next autumn's will be good too!
