It is a very blustery day in the village - but we are sheltered a bit as we are on the east slope of a hill; the west of the island is feeling the full Force 9. There are no boats sailing and I could hear the sea as I lay in bed last night - from about 3/4 mile away.
The west and the south expect some roads closures at high tide this afternoon - but otherwise we are fine.
Tightly crossed fingers to you and everybody else! We're about 700km from the sea in the South of Germany, but even here the offshoots of the wind gusts can be felt.
Glad to hear all well - and I hope the weather soon dies down and the boats can get going again; can't have the island running short of supplies in the run-up to Christmas!
