Awesome! I love the idea of Harry and Hermione blushing and flustered the next day. So adorable. And I like what you've done with Ron here; insightful enough to at least acknowledge what's staring him in the face, even if he's not quite ready to talk about it just yet.

Great job.

/I love the idea of Harry and Hermione blushing and flustered the next day./

It's something I can see them doing after a good snogging session XD.

Of course, Ron. I don't really know if JKR wanted us to believe he was just oblivios to some things or plain stupid. But I like to be fair so I like to think he just didn't want to face some facts *coughcoughHermioneisabsolutelydevotedtoHarrycoughcough*

This drabble wins the fandom award for 'best use of the killer canaries ever!'. :-)

Seriously -

The canaries flutter their wings happily.

That's just plain inspired. Excellent corroboration of the turnaround in their creator's feelings.

(I've seen a few 'miserable Hermione with birds fluttering around her' drawings - one just yesterday - so it really is nice to think of that episode as having a happy ending.)

- and it’s about time he took her side over Ron’s

YAY!

A H/Hr fic must always have a cusp where canon!Harry turns a corner and grows up.

Ho, thank you!

I always wanted to do something with that scene. I always felt it could have gone so much different than what JKR decided. All through the 2 last books there were moments that had so much potential to be epiphany time...

Harry should've taken Hermione's side more often after the Firebolt disaster. She is usually right after all.
