Yes! I'm so happy to see more of this! I've been really hoping for an update and catching this has *totally* made my day. I'm hooked and really want to see the fall out with Jim.

I find this concept and your execution of it very intriguing. More soon?

Oh, thank you. :)

The next part is flowing much more easily - and it's about half done. So, fingers crossed.

Just read all three bits, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this is all going. No offense meant to you, but I've read some pretty cringe-worthy fic based on similar prompts. This is well-characterized, well-paced thus far, and handles the subject matter far better. I love the idea that Jim is compromised and still manages to rise above it until the crisis is over. He's a tough egg to crack, that one.

I'm really interested in where this is going, so please continue as soon as you can! :D

Ack. I totally hear you - the level of bad some fics can achieve is...impressive. But I'm beyond glad that this doesn't fall into that category for you.

Thanks so much for the feedback. :) Halfway done with the next.

Oh this update made my day! I've been waiting forever for it. I had to reread the first 2 parts to refresh my memory but that was no hardship at all. =)

I really like your characterizations in this story. It feels spot on. I also like the subtlety here. Nothing overly dramatic which makes the little things feel profound. Such as Spocks notice of the silence and Scotty's blood on Jim's sleeve. Just excellent. Can't wait for more.

::blush:: Thank you so much! You kinda made MY day.

One of the 'mountain' of excuses for why this part was so unbelievably late was because the NEXT part demanded that I write a big chunk of it first. So, hopefully not too long a wait. ::knocks on wood::
