That is so weird, as I'm reading this, Tati is watching Howl's Moving Castle! I didn't understand a lot of things about the movie when I watched it the first time, but reading the Wiki entry explained a lot, haha.

So much validation! I recently found out that it's based on a book, and I had to add the book to my future reads list.

From what I read in the Wiki entry, the movie deviates quite a bit from the book. Alex bought it for Tati (because he likes the movie too!), so I might read it sometime. She shows up every now and then asking to watch the movie so I guess she finds it interesting. Either that or it's the only movie she knows I have on my DVR. :P

That's how I like it :P Very often, when I go to watch a film, I'm consciously looking for something a little different than the last thing I saw.

Battle Royale: It's been too long since I saw it and I mainly remember the violence. I would like to see it again but I don't think they ever showed it here on TV. I think I caught it once on Swiss television.

I just saw it, and I mainly remember the violence and the variety of deaths ;) Caught it on Netflix, otherwise I'd never have seen it. There's talk of a US series based on the film, have you heard?

I've been worried about candle beck. I remember reading a long time ago that she was having seizures, and, with her living in the US, I'm not sure what kind of coverage or medical care she received. If anyone hears that she is okay, I'd really appreciate a little post on her page.
