+ Somewhat awkward, but still worth a listen: a thirty-nine minute interview of Timothy Olyphant on NPR's Fresh Air.

+ Via sdwolfpup, for those on my f-list who haven't tried Community yet ~ The Best TV You're Not Watching: Community. I don't know that anyone could be more late to that bandwagon than I have been, but if you're not watching now - all I can ( Read more... )

See, I LOVED the first season of Community, and I continue to love the plotlines including Troy and Abed, but other than that...I miss the first season. :( I don't like this one so much - dunno why.

I have not seen the first season yet (I have been keeping an eye out on the dvd set, because I want to support the show, and not just dl them, but I need a decent sale price), so I have nothing to compare this season again. I haven't heard many people say that they liked the first season better, but I have heard some people mutter that there's been too much focus on Annie this season, and I've heard others complain that Britta's gotten too goofy. Is it either of those things?

Awww, that article makes me sad because Community and I have been going through a rough patch right now. I'm just so over the super-themed episodes. I've been loving the ones that don't rely on an over-arching gimmick, but I rolled my eyes pretty hard at the Pulp Fiction episode.

I am the person who was just thinking yesterday that it's a real shame the show never brought Sal back.

As much as I want Sal back on the show, I think that the show is probably right historically that the sort of 'incident' he was involved in is the kind of thing that you couldn't come back from.

Although please, lose Betty. I find her so unsympathetic. And I realize that this is a show filled with unsympathetic characters, but she is not quite a talented enough actress to pull it off.

MAAAAAAAATTTTTT. I'm so happy he's back. I've been loving "Faster"

You mean the My Dinner with Andre episode? :P That one wasn't clicking for me either, but there was something about it that makes me think I'll probably like it a lot more the next time I watch it. I spent the first viewing wavering between bored with Jeff's stories and weirded out by the newfound expressiveness of Abed's face.

As much as I want Sal back on the show, I think that the show is probably right historically that the sort of 'incident' he was involved in is the kind of thing that you couldn't come back from.

Yeah, you're likely right. I just have this little dream that we cross paths with him again, and he's had some success for himself somewhere. Directing, naturally.

Although please, lose Betty. I find her so unsympathetic. And I realize that this is a show filled with unsympathetic characters, but she is not quite a talented enough actress to pull it off.

My girlfriend punches me in the arm whenever I say this, but I completely agree! I found another write-up on the bruhaha which claims some sources are saying ( ... )

Oh ugh, yes, the Dinner With Andre one (although that brings up the interesting point with how that episode was marketed and then reacted to on tumblr--no mentions of MDWA at all)

I found another write-up on the bruhaha which claims some sources are saying that Weiner has been asked to eliminate actors with "glorified" cameos - i.e. the ones who have season long contracts but only a few lines of dialogue every now and then. Sounds like Betty last season to me.

lol, YES. Post-divorce, it was hard to justify why she was on the show. I think it was mostly so you could get the full spectrum of Sally's damage, but now that there's a new mom in the picture, she can get that same sort of combative relationship there (since I'm assuming she will loathe Megan).

What I can't wait for is the new tour!

OH MY GOD I KNOW. He had better come to this region. I will so haul myself up to Maryland or Norfolk or MARS if I have to.
