1. THIS GAME NEEDS MORE HUSTON: and it's going to get it, because Huston Lowell Street has been activated! Yes, sir. Nevermind the fact that his rehab outings in the minors were a mixed bag, and nevermind the fact that he got ejected from his final rehab appearance for arguing balls and strikes. I AM SORRY THAT WHO DOES NOT PLEASE YOU. It definitely is an acquired taste. But you've given it the old college try, so that's good. I will not hold it against you.

lol, thank you for giving me a pass on it. johnnybvo, on the other hand, is going to subject us to one last episode. Which he claims is the best. episode. ever.

Le sigh.

Icon! ;P

7. AND I STILL DON'T GET IT: johnnybvo made me and Bri watch some eps of Dr. Who last night, before we were mercifully saved by a power outage. I just do not get the appeal of that show, people! (The Doctors in question were 10 and 11, if I have any idea what I'm talking about, which might be giving myself too much credit where that show is concerned.)

I can't get into it either. Almost everyone on my flist (besides you, probably) loves it too.

I haven't been caught up in Strasburg mania, fever, hype or whatever, but because I have him on my fantasy team, I've noticed that he has done quite respectably so far. ;-) Which makes this, on a day of some remarkable sporting deeds, the more interesting:

Let it be noted: Stephen Strasburg was handed the first loss of his career by the Kansas City Royals. Rany Jazayerli

I can't blame Mark for not making an announcement back in February. He might not have been ready for that, and I can't help but think that Rick Peterson and then Chavvy (see, I did the vv, for you!) jumping the gun wasn't the way he had envisioned letting the world know about it.

I was also a bit amused that the mighty Strasburg's first loss will go down as having come at the hands of the lowly Royals ;)

I don't know, he seems as ready for it now as he was then - I got the feeling the only reason it came out now was because someone remembered that he'd said he give it another try in May, and pressed him about it. Not that it matters in the end. Que sera sera, as the saying goes.

I tend to forget Mark Mulder is still alive. And then feel kind of bad. But only a little. Really, he hadn't already retired?

Sometimes it's really hard to think that it's never going to be 2003 again.

I saw an article on Mulder being retired, and thought of you and Bri. :(

LOL, mercifully saved? That bad, huh?

(The Doctors in question were 10 and 11, if I have any idea what I'm talking about, which might be giving myself too much credit where that show is concerned.)

I think this means you secretly love it. ;)

Out of curiosity, what was the episode you watched? (Or, started to watch.)

I read your other post about The Cheesecake Factory, and now this one. And I really, really want to go there now. Overpriced, yes, but I haven't had cheesecake in ages.
