~ Did Rich Harden just pick up Derrek Lee's bat so that he could carry it back to the dugout? I think he did. His schoolgirl crush on D.Lee is quite possibly the cutest. thing. ever
( Read more... )
I've not noticed Rich's love for Derrek, aside from one clip Bri uploaded of them talking before one of his starts. I shall have to watch for this more carefully.
I wouldn't call it love, more like an unrequited little crush :P And it's all in the little things, of course. But yes, join the club. It's fun. We might start bringing brownies to the meetings. (I totally need to make an icon of Lee patting Harden on the head after the home run; it can finally replace my sole Oakland!Harden icon.)
**laughs** So I did! I actually started on the show in the first season, too, pre-Mac, even! It was a fun show, and it had a pretty good supporting cast. If not for the Admiral, and Bud, and Mac, I probably wouldn't have stuck with the show as long as I did. I don't know you liked it, too?
I used to watch it with my parents a lot when I was younger. Not that I understood half of it, though as I started watching when I was in 5th grade. Though we've since bought some of the DVD sets and have rewatched many of them. (I hate the season where it's all about Harm's dad, if only because I hate how they just took Harm... and put a mustache on him. Just.. no.)
I loved Admiral Chegwidden. And he got awesome points himself when he claimed he wanted to see all the major league baseball stadiums.

Maybe that's why D-Lee hit that game-tying homer? Heaven knows he's the only Cub to do anything for Rich today. *seethes* Freaking Deadbirds.
I think the command you're looking for is "secure all stations". I remember Cpt. Janeway saying that in the middle of Scorpion, Part II before the 8472 bioships attack.
That's a humongous cheeseburger. o_O
Isn't Jayson Werth having a kind of awesome season, though?
**laughs** I think that was more D.Lee trying to lead by example than D.Lee trying to favor Rich at all. It was definitely a rough game, all around :/ It's bad enough that the Cubs aren't hitting; the fielding really can't start slipping as well. Here's to you guys bouncing back tomorrow.
Maybe!
Hee, that's their small burger patty, if you can believe it. But I got it with onion rings among my toppings, which was a mistake I have never repeated. The onion rings are better just as a side ;)
Werth's having a pretty good season, I'd say. He's hitting .268 with 20 homeruns and 54 RBI. I was initially upset because I didn't realize that the naming of replacements was controlled by the player balloting. I had been crossing my fingers that if there pullouts, that Manuel would pick Sandoval for the team.
I'm kind of surprised by the picture of Madame Gainsbourg since I always tend to think that she isn't that well known, at least not as much overseas. But that is probably due to the fact that I haven't seen "Jane Eyre" which would be my best guess that it was the first time she caught your attention.
Where's the illustration below the Kennedys picture from?
And I remember the entry with the childhood picture taken at the beach. :)
**buzzer noise** Actually no :P I've never seen her in Jane Eyre. I first saw her in My Wife Is An Actress, which I discovered on the clearance rack at a local video store. I've only seen her in that, The Science of Sleep, and I'm Not There.

It's Joy of a Fallen Leaf by Arthur Rackham. He was a children's book illustrator in the early 1900s, I believe.
That was actually also the one I think I consciously saw her for the first time. I remember getting far more interested in the movie while watching it than I thought I would beforehand. It was fun. I usually hesitate to outright discourage people from watching movies, but if you're ever tempted to watch Lemming with her, let's say, maybe you should think again if you can't do something more interesting with those two hours. ;)

I have little hope for this series, but thanks for the well-wishes.
I think I went to Cheeburger Cheeburger once and I don't remember the burgers being that big! I guess I should try them out again...

Ha, they have FOUR different sizes, and that is actually the smallest (6 oz). Their biggest is 20oz. I can't even imagine.

Dude, do you slash the Kennedy Brothers?!? (Or was that your squicky list. Brother/brother no, sister/brother yes? I forget)
Seriously though, this is a great meme.

(i kinda do)
Not really. But I do love the strength of their relationship, and how much they seem to rely on and complement each other.
I thought so, too! You should do it :)
