She faced the full-length mirror, lifted her shirt up and inclined her body sideward, pursing her lips as she noticed that slight bulge on her stomach, indicating her pregnancy. She then smiled as she brought her hands to her womb area and caressed it, with happy thoughts of being with her baby after this child will come out from her invading her mind. She felt excitement from all over her body; she can’t wait to give birth. Of course, she still has to wait for five more months before that would happen.

Then, slim arms were wrapped around her waist, a chin was placed on her right shoulder, and a sweet voice was heard. “Hi pretty momma,” She grinned as she turned to glance at her best friend, “Hi, pretty Hae.”

“Why wake up so early? Your class starts at 12, right?” Donghae said as she moved away from her best friend’s body. Sungmin sighed, pulled down her shirt while fixing her hair, now looking at her reflection on the mirror, tilting her head in different angles to check on her face, “I’ll stay at the music club first. I need to be an active member.”

The blonde grinned, “So, how’s Kibum doing recently around you?” Donghae changed their topic as she played with Sungmin’s hair clip and sat on the table located beside the mirror.

Sungmin just shrugged, her eyes falling on the loose waistband of her pink pajamas, “He’s fine and normal,” she frowned after realizing that her clothes are somewhat not fitted on her body now, “He is still sweet and he brings me home after my tutoring session with Kyuhyun.”

“You’re still on that tutoring?”

The raven-haired grinned, now made her way to open her closet, biting her lips as her eyes searched for nice clothes, “Of course. It helped me, you know. I think I passed that quiz we had yesterday. I admit, he is good,” Donghae leaned her back on the cream-colored wall and crossed her legs, now finding Sungmin’s pen to play with, “Are you even taking your revenge, Min?”

Sungmin stopped whatever she is doing, her eyes glued on a blue shirt, sighing after a long pause. “I don’t even know if I should continue this. The more I am with Kyuhyun, the more I am falling for him… I just don’t know, Hae…”

The younger inhaled enough oxygen, stood up and slung an arm on her best friend’s shoulder, “Min, I think you should buy new clothes,” Sungmin averted her gaze to the taller with a confused look, earning a rolled eyes from the blonde, “You are smarter than me, right, pretty mommy nerd? Of course, your baby is gradually growing and you just can’t keep on wearing those pants for it will suffocate the child!”

“But they will know that I’m pregnant…” Sungmin gently whined.

“They will know that soon… but not now. I think you should start wearing dresses,” Donghae winked at her friend while skipping towards her closet, opened it, and grabbed a white, spaghetti-strapped knee-length dress. She then went back to her roommate and handed the dress to Sungmin with a grin, “Wear it! It’s a bit big on me, so I know that you will be comfortable with it. Don’t worry, your baby bulge won’t be obvious!”

With a frown, Sungmin raised the dress to level with her body, pouting, “Hae, isn’t this too short?” Donghae snorted and playfully hit Sungmin’s knees before pushing the pregnant woman to the bathroom, “Stop being so conservative when you’re not a virgin already! C’mon, your baby would be proud if he or she will see that his or her mommy is sexy, right?” Donghae closed the door and ignored Sungmin’s complaints.

Kyuhyun removed Zhoumi’s arm around his neck with a frown, earning a glare from the Chinese. “Mimi, stop the PDA…” The tall red-haired snorted and crossed her arms as she leaned on the chair’s backrest, “What the hell, Kyu? This is not PDA! I am just going to whisper something to you! Aish, you dirty-minded brat! Just because she is here, you do-”

“NOONA!” Kyuhyun hissed as he covered the girl’s mouth, making Zhoumi slap his hands away, “I told you not to call me noona!!!”

Yesung, Sungmin and Ryeowook, who were also present at the music room, just chose to ignore the two and continue with their activities; Yesung watched Sungmin’s fingers as she gently plucked the strings of the guitar, while Ryeowook got back to reading a book.

Then, they heard the school bell telling them another hour had passed, making Sungmin hand the guitar to Yesung, “Sungie, I have a class in five minutes,” The guy placed the guitar on his seat before standing up and held the girl’s slim waist, “Want me to bring you there?” Sungmin tapped the older guy’s arm while chuckling, “I can already go there by myself, Sungie.”

“But you’ll be going with Kyuhyun,” Yesung whispered to her, leaning his face too much close to her comfort. Sungmin blushed as she moved her face away; Yesung’s handsome face is very striking that it makes her heart flutter, and the guy’s low voice made her feel like he is seducing her. Damn mind. “I… I w-won’t…”

“And you said that we’re the one doing the PDA, Cho,” Zhoumi said as she nudged the younger, who, in Zhoumi’s opinion, is literally throwing glare daggers to the overly-close two. Kyuhyun just rolled his eyes and stormed out of the music club room, ignoring Zhoumi’s mocking high-pitched laugh.

Just seconds after Kyuhyun went out, Yesung and Sungmin followed after bidding their goodbyes to Ryeowook and Zhoumi.

The students grumbled when a guy announced that their professor is present and will give their Math test results back. Kyuhyun remained passive on his seat, ignoring Minho’s blabber about a girl named Taemin, only to move when he felt the chair beside him move; Sungmin already arrived.

“I wasn’t able to ask you how the test was,” Kyuhyun said without looking at her. The girl chuckled as she placed her shoulder bag behind her and fixed Donghae’s skirt; it is too short that when she sits, the skirt goes up to her thighs… and her seatmate is an insufferable pervert. “I think I did better.”

The guy finally averted his gaze to the grinning girl, who is still on the process of pulling her white skirt down, making his gaze fall on her exposed long, white legs, nervously gulping whilst forcing his gaze to move up; he doesn’t want to jump on Sungmin during class. “If you get a score of 90 and above, I will treat you after class… anything you want.”

Sungmin stopped what she was doing and looked up at Kyuhyun, her eyes glittering, “Really? But what if I got an 89 or lower?” The guy smirked, now crossing his long, lanky legs, his right arm placed comfortably on the backboard of the wooden chair, “You treat me, of course.”

Since Sungmin seemed to feel confident with her test results, she nodded once with a wide smile, “Deal! I’m hungry today because I haven’t eaten lunch yet,” With this, she got a frown from the guy, “I thought you will stop skipping your meals? Why are you still doing that?” She cringed; she felt like Kyuhyun is a concerned father scolding her… she suddenly missed the feeling of having a father.

“I’m already eating properly because my ba-” she stopped after realizing what she was about to say, earning a raised eyebrow from Kyuhyun. “…because my… back hurts when… I… don’t… eat?” Kyuhyun’s frown deepened, and she mentally slapped herself for the lame and unrelated excuse.

“O…kay?” she bit her lips as she turned her head away to hide her embarrassed face. “Just… just don’t skip meals anymore to prevent what happened last month,” Kyuhyun nonchalantly said, making the girl sigh in relief that Kyuhyun chose not to ask for further questions.

Then, the door opened and revealed their bespectacled middle-aged Math professor with a pile of paper on his left arm, and a laptop on his right. Suddenly, Sungmin felt uneasy. The confidence she had earlier was now gone like a bubble.

Mr. Kim slammed the papers on the table, making the students flinch, while he gently lied the gadget down. “So, how was the test?” his loud voice echoes around the four corners of the room. He smirked when the students groaned, mumbling things like, ‘it’s fucking hard!’, ‘do you even consider that we have lots of subjects?!’ or ‘why do you always make us suffer?’

“But, I congratulate you, guys. More than half of the class passed,” Mr. Kim’s tone suddenly went gentler, sending nervousness to Sungmin, who was now fidgeting her fingers. “I guess you expected that Mr. Cho got the highest score, right?” Without even being told, Kyuhyun stood up with a blank expression on his face and walked to get his paper, a big 100 written on the upper right corner of his test paper.

As Mr. Kim called the names of the owners of the paper, in no particular order, Kyuhyun glanced at his pouting seatmate, whose lips are now pale. “I told you that you should start eating properly. You’re pale,” Sungmin’s pout didn’t fade, “I told you that I am already having my proper meals… I’m just… nervous…”

“Nervous that you will treat me?” he decided to lessen the girl’s nervousness, but it didn’t work. “No,” she sighed, “I am nervous that I will be one of those few students who failed even though I am now taking tutoring with you… I don’t want our efforts to be wasted.” Sungmin hung her head low after saying it, earning a smile from the guy.

He patted Sungmin’s head, making her look at him, “It’s okay. I’m not expecting anything from you. I know you passed,” Sungmin wanted to cry and hug him to get strength, but of course, she can’t; he might get the wrong idea.

“Lee Sungmin,”

Sungmin’s heart skipped when her name was called. Slowly, she stood up, constantly stealing glances to her tutor before approaching his grinning professor.

“You’re so sweet to her, you know,” Minho and Jonghyun, who were seated behind him, teased. “Idiots. I am just calming her down,” he defended.

As she took hold of her paper, her heart soared high when she saw a big 89 on her paper, instantly beaming at her professor before going back to her seat. She faced her seatmate and showed her paper to Kyuhyun like how a child proudly shows it to her parents, “I got an 89, Kyuhyun!” Kyuhyun’s smile grew wider as he grabbed the paper and looked at it, not even aware that his friends behind him are already teasing the two of them.

“It looks like I will treat you, huh,” Sungmin breathed, turning to glare at Kyuhyun’s friends.

“No, you won’t,” the guy suddenly said, earning a confused look from her. Without a word, he stood up, walked towards their professor and showed Sungmin’s test paper to him, eliciting whispers from his classmates.

“Sir, you left this one out. She got the correct answer but you didn’t check it. You must have overlooked it,” Kyuhyun calmly said before Mr. Kim checked the paper, nodding in understanding whilst he marked a number correct and changed the score from 89 to 90.

Kyuhyun handed back the paper to his seatmate, not attempting to look at the quizzical expression on Sungmin’s face. He cleared his throat, “Next time, you check your paper for things like that,” Sungmin, still in question because of what the guy did, just nodded; she can’t say anything.

“Kyuhyunnie, let’s go to the arcade later and fish some babes!” Jonghyun offered to his friends, draping an arm around the taller guy’s shoulder, with Minho shaking his head, “I’m okay with the arcade, but not with the girls. I’d rather go to Taeminnie,” Jonghyun widened his eyes, faking a surprised look, “Whoa, Minho the playboy is now stick-to-one! Wow! Wait, you’re not even close with Taemin.”

Then, Minho turned to their silent friend and whispered, “Kyuhyun-ah, are you coming?” Kyuhyun grabbed his backpack, and turned Sungmin’s body away, who was just about to go out from the room. He smirked at his friends, “I can’t go with you, guys. I promised a date with this pretty girl. Just drag Changmin along with you.”

“Huh? What date?” Sungmin asked while she was being pushed by the tall guy.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“So, where do you want to go?” Kyuhyun asked, his hand still holding the girl’s wrist. “I don’t know… up to you,” Sungmin shrugged, completely forgetting that her wrist was in the guy’s grip. Then, Kyuhyun’s phone vibrated. He fished it out from his pocket using his free hand, groaning when he read who the caller is.

“Yes, noona?” he lazily answered.

“Kyuhyun, do your noona a favor,”

“What favor?”

“Please take care of Jino first while your hyung and I go to Jeju for a meeting! I can’t bring him there and he doesn’t want to stay with the maids! Please, you know that Jino is comfortable around you! Don’t worry, we’ll be back by night!”

“What?! What about umma?”

“She’s in Venice with appa, remember? Please, Kyuhyun… I need to go in an hour…”

“But I’m with someone!”

“You’re still at your university, right? Just stay there and I’ll drive Jino, okay? If I didn’t see a shadow of you there, you’re dead,”

He wasn’t able to utter another complaint because his sister already hung up on him.

“We can do this any time, Kyuhyun,” Sungmin said, thinking that Kyuhyun needs to do something. But then, Kyuhyun just tightened his grip on her wrist and faced her, “Hey, do you like kids?” Without hesitation, Sungmin nodded; she has to… she is going to be a mom.

“You see, that was my noona who called me… and she… she wants me to babysit her son while she is away… so, maybe you could… you know… come with me? I don’t want to babysit him alone,” he explained, his cheeks painted in pink. “Uh, sure,” Sungmin agreed; she likes kids, after all. She just hopes that the boy isn’t the younger version of Kyuhyun.

After five minutes, a red sports car stopped in front of the bench they are sitting at, and a boy, about seven years old, came out running to Kyuhyun. “Uncle Kyu!!!!” Kyuhyun smiled as he lifted the child up and let him sit on his lap, “You’re hyper today, huh, Jino?” Jino nodded cheekily, his gaze suddenly turning to the girl beside his uncle.

“Kyuhyun, take care of my son, okay? And, who is this beautiful girl? Your new girlfriend?” A young woman in her corporate attire came out from the car and approached the two, immediately noticing Sungmin, who smiled sheepishly as she shook her head after bowing.

“Yeah, she is. I told you that I’m with someone but you didn’t listen,” Kyuhyun snapped, making Sungmin hit him on the arm, but he ignored it. But he was now the one ignored when the woman faced Sungmin, “Hi, I’m Ahra, Kyuhyun’s sister. And you are…?”

“Lee Sungmin,”

Ahra clapped her hands and placed it under her chin, “Sungmin-ah, are you fine with Jino interrupting your date?” Sungmin parted her lips to speak, but it was Kyuhyun who answered, “Yeah, yeah, it’s fine. We already talked about this. You still have a flight to catch, right?”

“Oh, right!” Ahra snapped her fingers, crouched her face to level with her son’s face to give him a kiss on the forehead, “Baby, be good to your uncle Kyuhyun and his girlfriend, okay?” The boy grinned and nodded as he slung his short arms around his uncle’s neck. “Okay then!” she turned to her brother, “I’ll call you if I already arrived here in Seoul, ‘kay? Bye, Sungmin, nice meeting you!” The younger girl just smiled and bowed.

Kyuhyun stood up, still with little Jino on his arms, Sungmin did the same and stood beside the tall guy. “Should I carry your backpack?” she offered.

“What? No, no! I can do this! Besides, Jino is as light as you!” Sungmin just pouted. She then looked at the child and flashed a sweet smile, “Hi, I’m Sungmin,” Jino first studied the face of the girl his uncle is with… and then smiled, “Hello, auntie Sungmin~!!! I’m Jino~!!!”

“Huh? Why auntie? I thought you’re going to call me noona,” Sungmin said, blushing. The child cutely shook his head, “Because you’re uncle Kyu’s wife, right?” Sungmin’s jaw dropped, while Kyuhyun laughed hard.

Jino faced his uncle, “Can I call you appa for today?” Kyuhyun chuckled and ruffled the boy’s hair, “Sure. Whatever you want to call me,” The child beamed and hugged his new appa tight, with Sungmin smiling at the sight; she never thought that Kyuhyun could be this sweet when it comes to children.

“And you’re my umma~!!!” Jino declared as he pointed his hand to Sungmin, who snapped her head to the two guys, but even before she was to react, the two guys already walked, almost leaving her. She didn’t run, of course, she just fastened her pace a bit because Kyuhyun was walking slowly.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sungmin hungrily stared at the bunch of fresh strawberries placed on a box, biting her lips as she intensifies her gaze on it. She really wasn’t hungry, but when she saw the fruit, her stomach suddenly made a noise. But then, she felt a tug on her hand, and it was Jino, pouting, “Umma~ appa said that we will go to where the toys are~ come on~~~”

Sungmin took one last glance at the strawberries before nodding, with Jino dragging her, running. She clutched her tummy as she bent to adjust to Jino’s height. She tried on slowing the child, but he is excited and it looked like nothing could stop him. Then, she felt an arm gently wrapped around her waist, and someone grabbed Jino from her, “Yah, yah, don’t run. You might get lost. Umma doesn’t know this place,” Kyuhyun said as he took over holding Jino’s hand and let go of Sungmin’s waist.

“Here. You’ve been staring at it for minutes,” Kyuhyun handed Sungmin a plastic bag before being dragged by the child. When she opened the plastic bag, she saw strawberries in it, her heart and tummy jumping in delight. She took a bite on one as she followed the two.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Jino, who was seated in between the two, stopped playing with his new airplane toy to stare at Sungmin, who was happily eating her strawberries. “Umma, what are you eating?” Sungmin grinned, “Strawberry. You want?” The child gawked at the red fruit, “What does it taste? Why do you like it so much?” The girl hummed, “It’s… it’s sweet and… tangy… I really don’t like eating the fruit… I just… I just feel like eating it…”

Jino tilted his head and creased his forehead. Sungmin handed Kyuhyun one, “You want?” Kyuhyun grinned and opened his mouth, with Sungmin automatically leaning the food closer to the guy’s mouth, with Kyuhyun biting more than half of it. The child looked up and squealed like a girl, “Uwaa~ appa and umma are so sweet~”

Because of this, Sungmin and Kyuhyun avoided each other’s gaze.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

They went to the mall and that’s where Kyuhyun introduced Jino to the world of gaming. Minho, Jonghyun and Changmin even saw the three of them, and teased again. What good friends.

Of course, a bit of toy shopping, and the best part wouldn’t be left out… and that would be dinner. As usual, Sungmin only ate a small meal, with strawberry shake as a drink, while Kyuhyun and Jino were having an eating competition with the foods they ordered.

Since Jino is a child, there are remains of the food he eats on the side of his lips, so Sungmin kept on wiping it. When she saw something on Kyuhyun’s cheek, she waved her hand in a scooping manner, earning a questioning look from the guy, “Come here,” She reached out her hand that holds a tissue whilst Kyuhyun leaned. She wiped that white dirt from the guy’s cheeks, making Jino squeal in delight again.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

As they were walking towards Sungmin’s dorm - they already met with Ahra and gave Jino to her. It is just a good thing that the boy is asleep. Sungmin sighed, her eyes lingering on the road, “So, this what it feels like being a parent, huh,” The guy dryly chuckled, “Nope. This is just the fun part. You haven’t seen more of Jino,” Sungmin laughed along with Kyuhyun.

“This is so exciting,” she suddenly muttered. “What’s exciting?” Kyuhyun asked, snapping his head to the girl looking at the stars on the sky.

“This,” she shrugged, “Being a parent to a cute child,”

“We’re here,” Sungmin announced. They were now in front of Sungmin’s dorm. She faced the guy and smiled, “Thanks for this day. I had so much fun. Oh, and thanks for the strawberries,” Kyuhyun nodded and handed her another plastic bag, “I bought more for you.” He said, averting his gaze to hide his blush.

Sungmin beamed and shyly accepted the bag, biting her lips. “Thank you.”

They stared at each other for seconds, with pregnant pause enveloping their surroundings. Kyuhyun found himself taking a step closer to Sungmin, held her shoulders, and pressed his lips with her. It was a mere brush of the lips, but due to shock, Sungmin parted her lips, making Kyuhyun deepen the kiss.

It was like Sungmin lost her rationality when their lips touched. The feeling was different from Kyuhyun’s teasing kisses, and she can’t help but kiss back.

They were into the kiss so much, but Sungmin was the one who realized what they were doing, so she pushed the guy back, even before she decides to pull him to her room.

“Kyuhyun, stop,” her chest aches. Yes, it felt good, but there’s also a slight tinge in her heart when they kissed. “Kyuhyun, please stop… stop confusing me.”

Realization hitting him, Kyuhyun heavily sighed and palmed his forehead, shutting his eyes tight. “I’m sorry, Sungmin, but you’re also confusing me.”

"Sungmin? What did you just do with that guy?!"
