I remember our conversation at Dragon*con regarding Twilight. Though I admit the fandom is insane, and very much filled with overly hormonal teenagers (much like Harry Potter), the books themselves are really not that bad. The author wrote the character interactions to be very entertaining in a realistic way. Its by no way 'squee' worthy, but its just pain fun reading.

I admit I actually didn't do well trying to read Harry Potter ^^; I don't have anything against them, I like the movies fine, but the books didn't seem to interest me. I think I'm probably really demanding when it comes to fiction (versus movies or TV maybe) . . .

Also, I hear that the audio version is much more bearable if you ever seriously consider reading the series =P
