This is such crap. These judges make good money, at least compared to what I'm making. I'm an idealist, no doubt, but I think the idea of serving as a judge should in part be due to some sense of public service. Sure, those people could make more money in the private sector. But is that the point? Even if it is the point, I think demanding

I guess when your income is five times that of the average Federal employee, the argument of difficulty remaining unbiased through lack of appropriate compensation does not fly well.
