During my grandad's wedding yesterday, a peculiar thought occurred to me.  The pastor says, "What do you bring as a token of your love and commitment?"  Of course the response is, "A ring."  Booooring.  I think it would be awesome if the response was:

It made me laugh too, but when I saw that your location was Ringgold, I thought that maybe the thought was not that original and probably had been done before in the not too distant past. :-D

you were in Ringgold, Georgia. Given that area, it would not be surprising if someone HAD already offered a pony instead of a ring in the wedding.
