Crosses were burned in Durham, not too far from where I'm staying now. KKK literature was left at one of the locations.

actually yes. i was under the impression this was quite a liberal community. the mayor said he couldn't remember any cross burnings since he's lived here in 1968.

Yeah, but you are still "near" rural North Carolina. The more west you go in that state (moreso in the north of it) you start getting into the mountains. Time stands still there. It should be no suprise that some trickles down every once in a while.

While this type of stupid behavior dos not surprise me in the least, I still get highly annoyed. It's idiots like this who keep the world from making any kind of progress. What's the point of burning a cross in the first place? And I totally disagree-- God DOES NOT hate homosexuals. He doesn't hate anybody. It's against His nature. Okay. I'll get off the soap box now.
