Why don't people think? Well, I'd say it's easier, but only in the sense that when people do stupid things like you do, it doesn't make you insane. I think that for the most part it's harder, because you have to put so much time and energy into being that stupid.
Wow. That's all I can say at this point. I can't believe some people! Yep, that poor person is going to hell for what he did, how dare he bump into another human being! We have people like that where I (used to) work, and it never ceases to amaze me. One woman actually said once that in order to go to heaven, you must be perfect in everything you do. You can't make one tiny mistake, or it's all over. Come on, God didn't make us perfect! And she certainly has made mistakes, I can assure you! This person I speak of is very hypocritical, if you ask me. She constantly criticizes her fellow employees, which I believe makes her just as "bad" as the rest of us. 'Nuff said.

... and she was SERIOUS? What a ... wow, I have this urge to call her an absolute nutcase. I'd like to see her say she's never made a mistake, and keep a straight face as she does it. Really, if you're going to make claims that other people need to get into Heaven by doing Something In Particular, I get this feeling you should be doing it too or it just makes your claim look dumb. What really bugs me about the hypocrisy of the item I read in SOR is the person wrote it with this air of "I'm not a Christian so it's alright for me to be judgemental, hateful, and random!" I hate it when people justify a particular action simply through their religious beliefs or lack thereof.
Why? Because I'm a very cool person who uses uncommon names. And I just realised I never had need to refer to Xavier by his name. Could have been her, though. Hmm. Bob and Joe are such bland names.
So we've got this sad little person without a name who's going to hell because they did unspeakable things on their way to the rubbish bin. If that weren't bad enough, they're given the fake name Xavier!! Xavier is no good for a fake name. People use names like Bob and Joe so that there's no doubt that the name is indeed a fake one. Use something like Xavier and people get confused. So we've got the sad little hell-bound "Xavier," but the horror doesn't end here. The child didn't even have to be named Xavier. There was no need for a fake name whatsoever.
This is obviously a national tragedy. We must mourn for Xavier, the man - or possibly woman - who was given a terrible fake name he/she didn't need and is now burning for all eternity simply for a minor error relating to the rubbish bin.

This is the saddest story I've heard all day.

On a completely unrelated note, I am laughing.
