Jazz would have absolutely no warning but the sudden roar of jet engines. Dirge had been stalking the autobot for a little while now- long enough to confirm that fighting him hand-to-hand would be more effort then he was willing to expend. This particular trick had worked with the great Optimus Prime, who was much bigger in size and strength, so it was doubtful it would fail here.

A shadow fell over the alleyway, proceeded by the blur of a teal jet aimed for a direct collision with the unfortunate autobot.

Axiom has made Jazz a little lax, once upon a time hearing jet engines would have sent him immediately into defense mode but here it's common place enough that it takes him a moment to realize that this particular time the sound is a threat.

His head jerks upwards too late for him to properly get out of the way and he half stands, trying to move out of Dirge's flight path. It doesn't work as well as he would have like and pain flashes across his sensors as the jet hits him, his helm cracking against Dirge's nosecone with the momentum.

Jazz makes a pained sound and curses, his hands clawing at the jet as he tries to get his feet properly on the ground. His visor flickers when he shifts and with it, his vision. He pushes away and to the side, hoping to throw himself off Dirge. A collision with the ground is better than being smashed against something or taken to a higher altitude and dropped.

Dirge feels the impact, cackling over his comm as he continues his forward thrust. When Jazz manages to peel himself away from his nosecone, he abruptly transforms, using his shoulder to slam the autobot into the brick wall. At the speed they were going it would have a pretty solid impact.

Dirge's claws are at his neck once he slumps forward.

"Hello again," the clone purrs.

There's a sickening crunch as they hit wall and he can feel things in him break and tear as the full weight of the jet crushes him. The bricks behind him crumble but don't give, small pieces cracking free and tumbling to the ground below them.

His vision flickers again as he brings his hands up to the jet's wrists, his movements are slow and somewhat sloppy; the pain from his injuries and the knock to the head causing him to be somewhat dazed.

Jazz remembers this jet, though he doesn't know if he'd actually caught his name; he'd been more wary of the clone's interest in his visor though he never actually expected that interest to go anywhere.

"What do you want, 'Con?" he demands, his pedes scrabbling for some sort of purchase against the wall.
