Wheeljack drove up the street, arriving to Vergil's clinic from his shift at Cy-Tech. Another long day dealing with Four-Gamma Starscream. Erf.

In all fairness, he could be worse. A pit of a lot worse. That he wasn't, the Autobot engineer was very, very grateful. Frag, the Seeker was downright entertaining sometimes. But he was still an arrogant glitch and a Decepticon and a Seeker, to bootEh, whatever. He'd be over it by the time he had to go back in tomorrow. At least the Seeker had yet to do anything to threaten the tentative, conditional trust the Autobot had decided to quietly offer. That was a good sign. Yes, he was ready, and half-expecting, for that to change in a sparkpulse, but for now, he wasn't constantly watching his back for a shot between the wingpanels ( ... )

As the inventor finally pulls up, Starscream pushes himself off the wall without a word, expression neutral and decidedly calm. From what little he had seen of the Autobot, Wheeljack was much less likely to shoot him in the face for simply existing than some of his other companions. This clearly made him a more favorable candidate when it came to searching for assistance of any type. Starscream had found he wasn't fond of the large clinics or hosptials in the Nexus, and he wasn't planing on trying out every privately owned clinic for a simple optic replacement.

Returning the nod curtly, his minicon turns it's attention to Wheeljack as well when he speaks. "Yes, I am. I understand you have some expertise in this area."

It doesn't occur to him that the inventor would have anything other than his optic in mind.

"Yeah, somethin' like that."

You're not gonna trash the place if I let ya in my workshop, are ya?

Erf . . . that didn't need to be said aloud. In fact, he didn't need to be thinking like that. Never mind the eons of conflict and-

He made himself stop mentally, hoping none of his hesitation showed as he moved as nonchalantly as he could around the Seeker to get to the door, unlocking and pushing it open. "C'mon in."

Next door, in the clinic proper, Vergil was busy testing out some improvements to his Cybertronian shell. The limb response time was getting better, an important thing to an inhabitant used to the instant flexion of tentacles. There were still a few servo issues, though- and to the Huragok's frustraton, the last suitable spare parts on the premises had gone out the door in a patient's arm.

Well, maybe Wheeljack had a few spare components. Vergil could compensate him if that were the case.

There was no sense in getting out of the suit; the orange mech stumped over to Wheeljack's door and rapped at it with one hand. "Wheeljack?" It called. "Are you at home?"
