He was trundling hauling a large cargo net as Jetstorm zoomed by.
"Hey! Like...be more careful and stuff!"
Reply
"Many apologies, rotor-bot! But I am looking for someone!"
Getting an idea he hovered in a bit closer.
"Maybe you are seeing him! He is being another jet like I am being, but he is orange and has the goggles on his helm!" He leans back a couple inches, putting his hands up to his own helm as though to mimic this.

Blackout thought for a minute. He saw a lot of jets. Even a lot of orange jets. But most of the time they flew by before he could notice, you know, headgear and stuff.
"I could like...keep a optic out for him or something? Does he have a name and stuff?"
Jetstorm seems friendly enough, but he is a filthy, stinking Autobot, so Blackout's just going to keep one weapon trained on him. Just in case. He's a nice copter, but he hasn't lived through the Great War by trusting any Autobots!

And his insignia.
His face set into a frown as he noticed this, though he also reminded himself that this wasn't home. Normally he'd just dart off again to try his luck elsewhere...
But he needed to find his brother, make sure he was okay. So, he studiously ignored the weapon trained on him, just making sure he was far enough back that he could dodge a blast if needed.
"His designation is Jetfire. And yes, be keeping an optic out for him, roto- Blackout." Two sets of optics searching was better than one. Even if one set was a low-down, dirty rotten Decepticon's.

...A 'normal' day in the Nexus, being a generally bland, miserable thing. Ironhide and the others were around, of course, and they kept him going. But it was never the same.
Everything was just kind of...grayed out. Dull. The months since Jetstorm's departure had worn the edges off the worst of his grief; it was less sharp and painful, but still there. He was getting past it, though. Moving on. He could so survive this-
Then, hours before, that void where the twin link between their sparks had been lit up; suddenly enough it was as though someone had simply flipped a switch.
Despite the thought that it couldn't possibly be true, he plummeted down three levels through the air before regaining control of his thrusters. Processor still reeling in shock, it had taken him some time to start cautiously pinging for his brother. The idea of not getting a reply was more terrifying than the idea of ignoring the sudden connection ( ... )

Which is why when he finally got that response, he had to practically wrench himself out of his startled relief long enough to dodge the building he'd about run into while stunned.
::Brother! Brother where were you, I was being so worried! This is not mattering, where are you?::
Relief washed over him as he angled himself a bit higher, ready to dart off in any direction depending on what his brother told him.
However, the last part of that message gave him pause.
::Back? Be checking your memory logs, this is not a place we are seeing before!::
He let out a huff at this, moving into a wide turn to try and keep himself calm, his anxious need to make sure his brother was okay still clamoring inside him.
::Just be telling me where you are and we can be figuring this out then, yes?::

He pings his location right away, spinning and circling the same building over and over again, much to the displeasure of the residents inside. Without a location to go to himself, he's stuck with too much nervous energy and nowhere to go with it.
::B-brother! Where are you bein- W-wait. What? This is being stupid Nexus city, Brother! Has someone been messing with your memory files again?:: His voice goes shrill with sudden fear.
::Where are you being?!::

::I am not knowing this place, Brother! We are never being here before!::
The fear he can sense in his brother just makes his spark twist in it's casing, finding a mirrored sensation beginning to build in him. If Jetfire is paying heed to his surroundings, he'll see his brother's approach, that streak of blue marking the other mech's trail as he darts towards the location he'd been given.
:It is being alright Brother, I am almost being there!::

He was but wasn't really watching where he was going, mind lost in both mundane troubles and various research projects.

With a relieved grin, the mech dove down, doing a quick turn to land with his peds on the pavement.
"It is being the biggest re-" Whatever he was going to say trailed off to silence as he got a closer look at the mech that had caught his attention. Unaware of his now depressed expression, he just shook his head, taking a step back.
"...Many apologies... I am thinking you are being someone else..."
((OOC: I'm thinking sometime after he talked to Blackout but before finding Jetfire? XD))

It was right at about the same point that the younger mech was registering who he was - or rather, who he wasn't - that he too got a good look at the mech . . . and the brand on his chest. The pistol was put away before it was fully removed from its subspace holster. "Ah, y-yeah . . . same here." It took another beat for him to realize that the mech may have been thinking more specifically than he was. "Oh . . . ya mean Wheeljack? 'A' Wheeljack? From the look of your build, we're not from the same reality, but . . . I'm Wheeljack, if that's what you're thinkin'. Somethin' I can help ya with?"
Reply
"Maybe... you can be helping. Maybe you are seeing Brother? He is being like me, but is orange, and has the goggles on his helm and not the visor like I am having." It was a long shot... but perhaps Wheeljack had seen him. If Jetstorm was lucky that is.
