(
You ever have one of those dreams where you're falling? )
...A 'normal' day in the Nexus, being a generally bland, miserable thing. Ironhide and the others were around, of course, and they kept him going. But it was never the same.
Everything was just kind of...grayed out. Dull. The months since Jetstorm's departure had worn the edges off the worst of his grief; it was less sharp and painful, but still there. He was getting past it, though. Moving on. He could so survive this-
Then, hours before, that void where the twin link between their sparks had been lit up; suddenly enough it was as though someone had simply flipped a switch.
Despite the thought that it couldn't possibly be true, he plummeted down three levels through the air before regaining control of his thrusters. Processor still reeling in shock, it had taken him some time to start cautiously pinging for his brother. The idea of not getting a reply was more terrifying than the idea of ignoring the sudden connection ( ... )

Which is why when he finally got that response, he had to practically wrench himself out of his startled relief long enough to dodge the building he'd about run into while stunned.
::Brother! Brother where were you, I was being so worried! This is not mattering, where are you?::
Relief washed over him as he angled himself a bit higher, ready to dart off in any direction depending on what his brother told him.
However, the last part of that message gave him pause.
::Back? Be checking your memory logs, this is not a place we are seeing before!::
He let out a huff at this, moving into a wide turn to try and keep himself calm, his anxious need to make sure his brother was okay still clamoring inside him.
::Just be telling me where you are and we can be figuring this out then, yes?::

He pings his location right away, spinning and circling the same building over and over again, much to the displeasure of the residents inside. Without a location to go to himself, he's stuck with too much nervous energy and nowhere to go with it.
::B-brother! Where are you bein- W-wait. What? This is being stupid Nexus city, Brother! Has someone been messing with your memory files again?:: His voice goes shrill with sudden fear.
::Where are you being?!::
Reply
::I am not knowing this place, Brother! We are never being here before!::
The fear he can sense in his brother just makes his spark twist in it's casing, finding a mirrored sensation beginning to build in him. If Jetfire is paying heed to his surroundings, he'll see his brother's approach, that streak of blue marking the other mech's trail as he darts towards the location he'd been given.
:It is being alright Brother, I am almost being there!::

He goes quiet; what happened to him? Did the Transtechs do something to him?
But then he spotted that streak of blue in the sky and, with a shrill shout, fired his thrusters full blast in his direction. It didn't matter if he didn't remember the stupid city!
Brother was really, really back!

It didn't take him long to spot his brother, that bright orange trail making it blatantly obvious. With a Gleeful shout of his own, he put on speed, thrusters firing more brightly as he headed straight for his brother.
::Brother!::
Once he was closer, he didn't even pause, just transforming to his root mode in mid flight to go careening into his brother, arms spread to catch him into a tight hug.

"B-brother-! Brother! You are being back!"
For the moment, it doesn't matter if he doesn't remember. He's here again and that's all that counts.

"Brother! I was being so worried! I was being in the big place with the many stupid lines, and I was not finding you! Why were you not waiting up for me?"
Even as he rambles on, he bumps his helm against his twins in an affectionate manner, a bright happy smile on his face. Wherever they'd wound up, it didn't matter. They were together and that was what was important to the blue mech.

"You are meaning the lines of Processing? ...I am not being there in a long while, Brother."

"Brother? Please to be making with the sense..."
Reply
"I am making with the sense, Brother. We are being here before. Together. Only you are not remembering, and coming back again!"

The thought disturbed him, and his own expression was disturbed as he nuzzled at his brother's face, trying to reassure him.
"I am... not knowing how this is being possible, Brother... I would never be wanting to leave you anywhere like you are saying!"

He frowned, tightening his hold on Jetstorm and leaning into the contact.
"Maybe... Maybe they are getting to you again before I could."
Reply
"It is being okie, yes? You are being here and I am being here and this is being the most important of things, yes?"

He nodded against his brother's helm, tightening his grip on blue armor until his servos creaked with the strain. He was here. But how long would he be here? What if someone tried to take him away again? And floating dazzedly above the stupid city, where any glitched Transtech could see them... Jetfire suddenly felt decidedly vulnerable.
No.
"Perhaps...we should be going someplaces that are safer, Brother. We are having several 'bot friends, here, who are having good places to stay. ...They are missing you, too."

But at the same time... whatever had happened, Jetfire seemed insistent that this wasn't the first time he'd been in this city. So whoever it was the orange twin was talking about might have some answers.
As it was, he just hugged him closer, giving a brief nod of agreement. Whatever else, it was a good idea to find somewhere safer to figure the whole mess out.
"This is sounding like the smart idea Brother... be showing me the way, yes?"
