My Dear Friends,
You've a right to be put-off. It's been too long. Today, I just got a back-channel message from
brightfeather wondering whether I was all right, and how Jane was, and I realized that I must post something short -- at least short for me.

Sounds like there are way too many people relying on you for any other option.Hmmmm..... Yes, sometimes it can feel that way -- and perhaps I had some of that feeling when I dashed this off. But mostly, I think, that's not how I live it. Certainly, there are times when I must keep track of all sorts of details for Jane, especially. And I'm really not good at that kind of thing. Her meds, for example -- getting up in the morning, taking the first batch of pills, then doing her eye washes, then fixing breakfast and getting her after-breakfast pills -- all done before going off to work, and being sure I don't forget the cellphone, etc. Yeah, that was getting burdensome. I'm so glad you understand, because tucked away along with feeling that was, at least for a time, necessary for me, was the sadness of losing contacat and the worry of stranding friends who genuinely do care.
(((hugs))) & best wishes in return.

Really glad to hear Jane's continuing to improve! And best of luck with your servicemen. Sounds very tough.

Regarding servicemen being tough: yes, but what they went through, and what they're living is a whole lot tougher. See with them as a measuring stick, my life isn't so tough.
Thanks for your support & caring!

Indeed, "Yay, go grandparents!" You are SO lucky to have one just around the corner. While we had an almost-weeklong visit in early January, that these are likely to happen, at most, two or three times a year, leads me to truly understand how lucky you are. Grandkids make the best "busy & worn out", b/c of the "happy, too."
And much love back to you & yours as well, dear Kate!
