Sometimes solutions aren't so simple; sometimes goodbye's the only way.

So, I haven't properly updated in, like...forever, but my entry will be mostly MNFF related, because it's mainly what I have going on at the moment ( Read more... )

fan fiction, qsq, the darkness and the light, mnff, written in the stars

I hear you.

My priorites (writing wise) should be my OF, but no, I write a bloody Dramione that's now spilling into the 36K mark. I also have at least three fics that I need to update regularly - and three others that I should try and restart.

Not sure I can do this. *sigh*

I may have to give up on oneshots and comps. BUGGER - I like them.

Umm, I'm on 3 QSQ commitees, too. I don't think there's too much reading involved, but I can see one or two stories may have me tearing my eyes out with a spork *sigh*

Well, good luck with those. I hope they're not foul categories that you don't particularly care for. Mine aren't my realm of expertise, but the entries are good.

Hey, I didn't know you could sit more than one! I turned down a second >.< But then, it's a lot of reading so one is probably good for me and my aversion to obligation. ;)

Like I just said to Jess, don't feel too pressured to be on all three categories. It wasn't really supposed to work out like, and three is a lot to have ended up on! If you want to back out of one (or two), please don't worry!

Oh dear. I said yes to one of those committees as well, and never considered the reading might be bad. Shouldn't everything be good if it was nominated?

Jess, I am famous to saying yes to everything, thinking it manageable, and then seeing the giant pile of responsibility I have signed up for... UGH. Sounds like you are getting a handle on it though. I'm sad for WITS though... but I can be patient. :)

I really want to pursue WitS, but it's such a huge project. By the end of the story, I can wholly imagine it being well over 200K, maybe even closer to 300K. I just feel like I haven't actually finished anything in a while. I need that to keep going.

In terms of QSQ, I'm just glad that I didn't get any large categories. I might have to hide if I did.

Don't be afraid to turn down the second category if you're worried about it.

You shouldn't really have been asked <.< (not because you're not capable but because we're not supposed to be putting people under too much pressure by asking them to sit on more than committee this year) Unfortunately things don't always seem to work out as they should.

But yes, it has been discussed and if you don't want to do it, don't feel you have to.

I'm not worried about the judging, tbh. It's just the accumulation of everything that's sort of turning into an albatross. The judging should be fine. Once I know what I'm supposed to be doing, I should be done with the reading in a few days so I can do...whatever else it is that I'm supposed to be doing. XD

I totally understand the need for solitude. When VL piles up I generally take to shutting the bedroom door and pretending to have spattergroit so that no one will bother me for a few days. You could always feign a cold to make the rommie give you some space. :D

-hugs- Good luck with you workload. I hope you're able to enjoy it all a bit, instead of being stressed about it.

Oh, I'll get it all done. I just can't believe I keep doing this to myself. This was supposed to be an easy month, but I guess I don't do easy. >.>

If only the spattergroit thing would work...

And now you can add the Ravenclaw Drabble-a-Thon to that! Hahaha! Remember, you are my drabble buddy and I shall find you if you do not post. ;)
(Actually, I picked Lily LUna so I can more likely see myself falling off the wagon on this one, lol)
I say - write what you want, when you can. No worries. We don't get paid for this stuff anyway ;)

Haha, I picked Remus, actually. This is an odd turn with you picking a Next-Gen character and me a Marauder. Oh, well. I intend to focus on his time outside of school anyway.

Let me guess - his time outside of school is dark and angsty? ;)
Yes, look at us, stepping out of our boxes. ;) Actually, I picked mine for a reason: I've done these things with Albus Potter and James Sirius Potter, so I figured I might as well give Lily Luna a go at it. I have very few ideas about her, so it will maybe be good for me, though I'm going to have to make sure no apples sneak their way into the story, lol. ;)

Well,of course it's going to be angsty. He is a social pariah, and he will have to deal with his lycanthropy and latent feelings for his best mate. :D

You don't have to do the second QSQ comm, Jess. The mods were discussing this and it was overlooked a bit so you got asked twice. Or three times? >.>

Anyway! It's my job to set challenges in Ravenclaw so if you feel like you need to not do the banner thing taht's fine =] No biggie. Just let me know!

Haha, it's fine. It's not like it'll be difficult to do, considering there aren't even any submissions yet. I just wanted to make an entry of my own, that's all.

I can still do the second QSQ. I'll just have to forego my AU story for the time being to do it. No biggie. I'll just have to budget my time a little better.
