[Kiyoshi appears, and immediately recognizes a few of the demons. Nekomata. Pixie. Was this another world taken over by demons?]

[A Nozuchi tries to get the jump on him, and he responds with a Holy Dance in its face, leaving the demon motionless in seconds.]

[And shut up he does. He also moves as quickly and quietly as he can to the wall where the door opens from, in the hopes that if they do enter the room, it'll give him a moment to react.]

[The voices are coming closer, and as they do, Argilla puts a hand over her Atma. Prithivi is...Tense, underneath her skin. Too tense for her to trust in such a small space, and with someone that the demon hasn't recognized as Tribe ('pack' also seems like a good word, although she's not sure why) yet.

Lucky for her, she's got another option when it comes to fighting. Argilla reaches behind her, slowly, and as quietly as possible, unslinging her rifle. She's able to line it up the sights on it right as the door starts to slide open.]

[Kiyoshi flinches slightly when she pulls out the gun, but charges up an Agidyne in his hand. As soon as he sees the Solids, he lets it loose on the closest one.]

[Argilla has a brief moment to notice they're in human form, and a part of her is relieved about that. That's the least dangerous form in the Junkyard now, and if they want to shift to something more lethal, it will take time.

She doesn't waste any time on lining up a shot on the Solid who hasn't suddenly been set on fire. With a rifle and so little space between them, missing is almost impossible, and the soldier ends up with a new bullet in his lung.]

[He'd charge up a Megidolaon, but the space is too small, so he runs forward and grabs the unshot Solid and slams him into the wall headfirst.]

[Argilla can't help but stare when he does that; only Heat is reckless or strong enough to attempt something like that. But given the noise the Solid's head makes when it hits the wall, Kiyoshi looks more then capable of doing the same.]

"I count two more!"

[She shouts that to him, focusing back down the barrel of her gun at the shapes that have just shown up outside the doorway. These two actually hesitate for a moment, and Argilla can see the tell-tale trails of light that snake over their bodies.]

"Demons; keep your guard up!"

[That's all she has time to say, before the newly changed demons manage to swoop through the doorway.]

[Kiyoshi backs up slightly at the sight of the winged demons. Familiar ones, in his case.]

I got 'em!

[If they had the same weaknesses that the ones in his world did, this would work. He casts a Mazandyne at them, hoping that the Force damage would be enough to slow them.]

[Once again, figuring out how he can even do that can wait until they're done fighting. Argilla keeps her head, even as the demons seem to shrug off the wind spell and continue to force their way through the doorway. She keeps her breathing as steady as it can possibly be, takes aim...

...And feels a moment of relief when the bird takes her bullet, and is almost thrown backwards from the force. It looks like the attack has staggered it, at the least. It gives her time to think back, to remember fighting these things before, inside the halls of the Citadel.]

"Forget about using that! Go with fire!"

[Shit. They didn't have the same weaknesses. He charges up a Maragidyne, in that case, and fires it off at them.]

[There's a brief moment where Argilla doesn't feel any chill or moisture in the air. Even where she's standing, the spell seems to almost scorch her skin, and suck any water out of her hair.

The demons have to deal with much worse; she can't see them when the fire and smoke hits, but she can smell the burning flesh and feathers. There's hardly any ash left from their bodies when the spell is finished...And she can't see any more reinforcements, either.]

"...Nicely done." [She manages to say. Now why can't Heat be useful like that?]

Thanks.

[He grins.]

I didn't think setting off a Megidolaon would be very wise in such a small space.

[He's gotten used to overkill. It's too easy to do for him, which is a little worrisome if he thinks of it.]

[Argilla doesn't say anything in response to that, but her eyebrows do go up by several inches. Megidolaon isn't a spell most of the rank and file have access to, after all.]

"I wouldn't mind figuring out how you can do any of that, without having to change."

[She glances out the doorway as she says that, barely sticking her head or body out of the opening. But she only sees buildings, and all she hears is the steady patter of rain.]

"We shouldn't stay here. They'll be looking for whatever caused so much noise."

Ah, you're probably right. And I'll explain later, if and when we get to a clear spot.

[He goes quiet for a moment, trying to see if he can pick up on anything 'big', or hear if anyone's approaching.]

"...Roofs."

[She says, after closing her eyes and thinking of the layout for a moment.]

"It's not completely safe, but we can get a clear view from there."

[And maybe, possibly she can find her Tribemates as well.]

All right.

[The logic seemed sound enough.]

Are there stairs, or are we going to have to climb?
