working out and cars

Biked ~20 miles yesterday: 9 miles to work plus ~10-11 to the Honda place to pick up my car. Timewise, I didn't do too badly - under an hour to work and ~59 minutes to the Honda place - which isn't that bad considering I haven't biked substantially in a while, not to mention the fact that I was on a mountain bike. Alternators Rumble is a Honda Civic Si. It's a Wal-Mart exclusive. I can't easily dig up a link here, but a google search for Alternators Rumble should bring up a picture easily enough.

And thanks!

re: Pittsburgh -- we're doing a bike tour the last week of July/1st week of August. It's going to be from Buffalo, NY to Owen Sound, Ontario following the underground RR. We will be driving to Buffalo from L.A. so we'll get a chance to hang out in Pittsburgh. We'd love to come stay with you and visit for a bit and check out the city as a potential retire-from-L.A.-and-go-into-business locale. Are you kids game/going to be around"?

sorry things at home aren't quite optimal. bumps are normal but definitely a drag.

ps==this is Laura using Milly's computer...

Those hills - they get flatter every time you ride 'em. Partially because you get to know the hill better; you figure out where to shift and where to bear down and how to use the momentum and all. Partially also because each time your bike wheels roll over it, you press the hill downward a little tiny bit, so it gets flatter. Really!

In the meantime, no shame in walkin'. :) You are so morally superior for riding instead of driving that in more than compensates for the occasional walk. 'Specially in Pittsburgh!

Any reason you're selling it?
