This morning I got a call from my cousin saying she has a baby rattle snake in her back yard. I asked her a few questions and determined she was right. She was calling me on her way to work so I swung by on my way to take my kids to swimming and diving lessons ( Read more... )

it was in the back yard! just outside the rear sliding door. I was extra cautious with this little guy. Did not want to make a trip to the hospital.

Dean, you're a brave man!!! Rattlesnakes look mean!!!! My dad once killed a snake and when he held it up its tail dragged on the ground (my dad was 6'6"!!!)

Most people do not like snakes, I have had snakes as pets for a long time. As long as you know how to handle them it can be done safely. That does not mean I was not nervous as I was trying to get a hold of his head to pick him up and put him in the bucket.

I actually like snakes too... the non-venemous kind that is!!! During high school a guy used to come to the local mall with a snake display. My mom was working as the information lady at the mall and took me to work. Eventually the snake guy let me help hold all the pythons during the show. That was cool, until one started trying to climb up my shirt!! :P
