Strange existential moment that only happens to writers: When you are writing an adult character that's your age, and you suddenly realize that he/she has had a much more accomplished life. And then you realize that almost all of your adult characters are the same way.

And then you hate them for it.

I'm not a sore loser. I can accept when I've been beaten. I got on here last week and boasted at my team's 11-1 start, and since then we have dropped 7 straight.
