I don't really want to start talking about it, but I'm starting to feel affected by it the more I see of it. Which is inevitable, so I might as well give my own view.
Personally, I'm in fandom. I'm in lots of fandoms.

and i thought i love LJ so much. some users just enjoy making everything fucked up huh -.- (referring to people bashing on fandoms & free accounts)
unless, like you mentioned, they want majority of LJ's users to go off. and then close down. or crawl back pleading & begging us to go back.

I know. It's stupid. If they end up voting for the wrong person, and it screws everything up, LJ is going to realize they made a big mistake.
But it's nice that they're actually wanting our opinion, by this election. Even so, it's not going to be easy, and there's going to be alot of people hurt.

also, I've spent the morning (becuase I have no life) checking out the other candidates and halisheglishjesusfuckingchrist some of these people weren't screeneeeeeeeed
jameth makes me sick, mentally and physically.
And there is some crazy threat-making schtick going down at cambler's journal which I can hardly fathom, but the point is, he's withdrawn his candidacy. It's all gone a bit...well, a lot mad.

Agreed. I don't know how he sleeps at night.
yeah, I don't get what's happening with him. But he's been accused of using sexualized women in his campaigns, and he doesn't even post POSTS in his journal. But yeah, point is, he's withdrawn and I'm oh so thankful.
Not that he would have ever won/we would allow him to win.

I think (and this is vague, but I think) to be a candidate, all they had to do was get 100 people to nominate them...which reeks of popularity contest to me.

Because jameth is getting a big chunk of the 1st vote. It'll take A LOT for Legomymalfoy to get 51%. Thus, they'll probably end up switching to the 2nd vote, which is currently being dominated by rm.
