Background: Omegas are extremely rare, and alphas (typically the more powerful figures in society) covet them. The rarity of omegas has led to a few multiple alphas with one omega relationships. Also because of omega rarity, omegas are coddled to an extreme when they're found and kept away from people who aren't either their alpha(s) or other omegas. It's a well-known but little talked about fact that there's a high amount of omega-trafficking going on that enables the well-informed and well-off to purchase a suitable omega companion

His life would not be his own anymore, he could never become Iron Man again, his company could have been taken away (if he hadn't already appointed Pepper as CEO), and he was sure the government would collect him at some point. Omegas, who were so rare and sought after were never allowed to be put into danger, so they were collected and hidden away. They were spared from life's obstacles, waiting until an appropriate set of Alphas were selected to claim them

Bruce, though quiet, was one Tony could have intelligent conversations with, he was understanding with out being judgemental and Tony loved that about the man. He was also an outsider and it was something Tony could relate with. Tony could also willing admit, there was a certain thrill he couldn't help but love when there was the chance of Bruce hulking out. It was exhilirating. Thor was Tony's favorite though, the man always rambunctious and there was a naitivity about the man's smile that was sweet but his eyes would reflect his true age. He could be gentle and powerful at the same time, like the way he handled his hammer, swinging his arm with a certain grace and strength. When it came to Steve, despite their rocky start, he had become Tony's best friend. The man was firm and serious, compassionate and forgiving, it made Steve a perfect Alpha

"Times have changed, Cap'." Tony murmured and everyone looked at him, their faces covered with a mask of agitation and confusion. He himself couldn't help but feel the same, these were his fellow brothers and sisters being taken without consent, sent away to a place unknown, and forced to be slaves. It was the cruelest fate but Tony vowed he would do something about it. "But that's why we're here, to make the world a better place." There was a tiny flicker of hope lighting up in Steve's eyes causing Tony's heart to constrict with warmth. Tony bounced off the pillar, sauntering over to the table, and tiredly plopping down beisde Natasha and Steve. He gazed over at the volumptuous woman beside him, quietly imploring, "So has Fury told you anything else about what's been going on

Since LJ seemed to have eaten my reply-post to the last part, I will slowly re-cap...ahem. SQUEEE [refreshes page every five minutes. I always adore fics like this...I think Alpha/Omega or Dom/Sub fics hit my kink the right way. I dunno know, there is something about soul-mating or bonding fics that just make me really happy.
You have no clue how much you've uplifted my spirits with this. I've been feeling down for the past couple of weeks (month) and believe it or not...this has started to help me out of my slump. I can't wait till we get the Alphas realizing Tony is an Omega because <3<3<3

*coughs* I have to agree with you that alpha/omega & dom/sub fics are the best! they hit my kink chord so good and i cant help but want to bathe in them!

I believe a few sketches will be in your future...[grins] I just stumbled across an old Steve/Tony sketch of mine and I went whoa...I forgot I can draw...lol. And yes...life can suck hairy balls [tries not to sink into depression] Honestly...I haven't felt quite this low since 2007.
But yeah...totally trying to get past that [nod nod]
Anyways...I know we aren't the only ones who have a kink for these kind of fics. To be honest, I only heard of Alpha/Omega-verse through the Merlin fandom kinkmeme. I didn't care too much about the characterization...but there was also knotting in there that made me go "Oh come one...one step away from werewolves!" My other kink is werewolf![insert character] since I don't see too many of them compared to vampires. N E ways... :) heheh Omega!Tony <3<3<3
