Which was the exact problem Tony had when it came to Bruce, Steve, and Thor; they were Alphas. It was drastically different with them than it was with Clint and Natasha, with the SHILED opperatives he was safe, knowing they could never trully claim him. Even when Tony took his pills to muffle his Omega urges, with the Alphas of the group, there was always an undertone of wanting to fall to his knees and spread himself for them. The feeling was always at the back of his mind but over time it had become easy to ignore.
There was light peaking around the partially closed door when he reached the kitchen. Tony hung back, silently leaning against the kitchen entry way, listening to the quiet mutterings of Clint prodding Natasha to speak.
From across the way he caught the red head's eye, the briefest flicker of green was her only acknowledgement of him before she finally answered the archer. "Fury called me in, said was urgent, apparently there had been some talk going around the Omega Trafficking Ring." Something cold washed up onto Tony's shoulders, it sent shivers down his spine, freezing him in place. Any word of the OTR could do that to an Omega, the mere utterance of it causing Fear to descend upon their bodies, a dread to tangle around their throats, leaving them breathless and terrified.
"What about it?" Steve asked with a sharp menacing tone. There was a warning laced within the words, triggering something deep within Tony, the wanting to fall to the ground, lay on his back, and bare his belly and neck.
Natasha spoke quietly, informing the others of a possible mission and Clint spoke up when the silence became to much.
Thor looked confused and hurt. "Why would anyone do such a thing? In Asgard, Omegas are even more rae there than they are here and they are cherished for their gracious gift. It's one of the reasons I came here. To find a life-mate."
"It's just the way humans are, seflish and greedy." Bruce said, shoulders hunching over with defeat.
Steve finally spoke, his voice painfully wary. "It didn't use to be like that." It struck a chord in Tony's heart to hear his friends sound so terribly lost. He couldn't imagine what Steve felt to wake in a completely new world, alone. The man had lost everything he had known, his loved ones, his dreams, and his chances for love. Or how Thor might feel, the thought of finding his Chosen, slowly and steadily fading to a mere whisper of a dream, or even Bruce who deserved happiness and acceptance more than anyone else, especially after all that he had been through.

Natasha was quiet for a moment, setting her fork down and pushing aside her fruit bowl. "We've only gotten word about this a few days ago but apparently the abductions have been going on for a few months now."
"How has no one done anything about this yet?" Bruce eyes flashed.
"It wasn't brought to SHIELD's attention until it had became a serious matter--"
Thor's hand suddenly slammed down on the table, a crack splittering down the middle. "Of course it's a serious matter!" His blue eyes were razor sharp with a building anger, an anger that only Bruce and Steve could empathize with, an anger only an Alpha could produce. The Betas could feel the tension in the room thicken, hairs on the back of their necks standing on end, and muscles bunching with apprehension. Clint's back was ramrod straight, sitting as still as he could, only his eyes moved, nervously darting from one Alpha to the next. The archer wasn't the only one affected by the Alpha's imposing threat, Tony's shoulders tensed; he licked his lips anxiously while his hands clenched into fists under the table, unnoticed.
Natasha's trigger fingers twitched as she raised her hands calmly. She dropped her voice to a soothing whisper, hoping to placate the god, "I know it's serious, I know. It just didn't fall into SHIELD's jurisdiction until bodies started to pile up. Now that they are taking Bonded mates the governement can't ignore it anymore. Not while people are starting to riot and Alphas going crazy and even being killed while defending their Chosen. They died honorable deaths."
Thor retracted his hand from the dent he created, a little bit ashamed at his reaction. "Please except my apologies, I did not mean to react in such a manner." Thor, being a demi-god, had lived a long life and in his long life liked to believe he had some control over his Alpha side. However, hearing of the cruelty and fear Omegas had to face everyday broke his heart. The need to protect came bursting forth from his soul and he silently vowed he would never allow his Omega, once he found him, to ever feel scared or mistreated.
The tension melted away slightly, leaving room for the Betas to breath. Tony couldn't help but chuckle, trying to lighten the mood, "Don't worry about it big guy. With all the damages you lot do when saving the world," he gestured wildly to the group before him, "the table is the least of your worries."
"What do you mean 'you lot?' If I remember correctly wasn't it you who used a fire hydrant and a tree to fight off those rabid hamsters last week," Bruce questioned, there was a small smirk tugging on his lips. "I'm surprised PETA didn't sue you, really."
"Seriously." Clint laughed. "God, those little boogers were everywhere! I thought for sure one was going to gnaw my leg off!"
"I wanted to keep Hamilton," Thor sighed.
Tony sighed heavily, rubbing his grease-stained hands through his dark tresses, managing to make several parts of hair stand straight up. "We've talked about this Thor, Hamilton was a rabid man-eating hamster, you couldn't keep him. Although, if you're good, maybe we can get a dog or a cat or something."
Thor banged his fist on the table again, this time with happiness, but it didn't stop the crack in the table from becoming bigger. "Yes, I have always wanted a Boigle!" He smiled and Tony's heart melted.

"A Boigle," Thor stared at each of them, waiting for the moment when realization might strike them, when nothing happened he continued, "It's a dog in Asgard. They are known for their armored hides and giant stone-breaking horns."
"Um, Thor, may I ask exactly how big is this thing?" Steve questioned worriedly.
"Hmm I would say the size of one of those vehicles I've seen on TV that smashes the other puny ones."
"You mean a monster truck?" Clint asked.
Thor nodded happily. "Yes!"
"Sorry, big guy let's get something a tad smaller, ok?" Tony suggested. "What about a cat? Do you have any of those in Asgard."
"Oh yes! A Twingal." Thor replied. "They are very intelligent creatures known for their ten legs and venomous fangs."
Natasha smirked and Clint laughed at the face Tony was making, even Bruce and Steve couldn't help but chuckle at Tony's plight. Their laughter had started to die down when Tony's cell phone began to ring, the tone of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony reaching their ears, and letting Tony know Pepper was calling.
"You know what Thor, we'll talk about that later ok?" Tony smiled before answering his phone. "Yeah, what do you want?"
"Hello to you too!" Pepper said. "I just want to remind you that the big-wig gala is tomorrow night at seven--" Tony groaned, banging his head on the table. "I have already ordered your suit and it will be delievered tomorrow morning."
"You're coming too right?" Tony whined.
"Of course I am. I wouldn't leave you to fend off the wolves alone," Pepper giggled, "Though you deserve it."
"That's not very nice."
Pepper continued on completely ignoring Tony's quip. "Happy's going to pick you up at a quarter to seven, be ready. These are very important people, Tony, one's that could help back the company."
"It's not that we need it." Tony grumbled.
Pepper sighed. "You haven't looked at the papers I emailed to you did you?"
"No..." Tony thought back, he had been so busy on the Omega's bracelet that he hadn't had the time to check his messages.
"Tony, each time the Avengers fight battles, the damages start to add up and yes we have the money to easily back the SHILED and the Avengers, but there is the possibility in the future we might have to make some sacrifices. I think it would just be best to get some backing now so we don't have to worry about it later."
"Alright, alright. I'll see you tomorrow sweetcheeks. Smooches." Tony made some kissy sounds into the transmitter befor hanging up. A cup of coffee was placed in front of him, with a squeal of delight Tony grasped the cup, and smelled the delicious aroma rising from the contents of the mug.
"So it sounds like you are going to be busy tomorrow?" Steve asked.
Taking a sip of the lecture within, Tony moaned contently, "Yep, got to go to a boring party tomorrow night. Why?"
"Tomorrow's movie night," Natasha answered, lips curving in a devious smile. "And it's your turn to pick the movie."
"What?!" Tony yelped. "That's not fair."
Clint grinned. "Life's never fair, muwhahahaha!"
"Why are you laughing Robin Hood? You don't get to pick the movie either, it's Bruce's turn after me." Tony laughed. "Now if you gentlemen and lovely lady don't mind, I'm going to go sleep the day away. Hold my calls." Tony stood up and left the room, and couldn't help smiling when he heard Clint whine about how Bruce always made them watch documentaries. Walking down the hall to his bedroom, he couldn't help but feel something was going to happen, something bad. He always got this way when his Heat was getting close but it always proved to be a figment of his imagination, shrugging off the thought, he stripped down to the nude, and climbed into bed. The white sheets were soothingly cold against his suddenly warm skin, moaning he rubbed himself further into the linens, seeking more freshly chilled fabric. He found a comfortable spot on his side facing the window. "Jarvis dim the panels and turn on the AC, please?"
"Of course sir." The window panes darkened, denying the light entrance into the room, and Tony felt a refreshing breeze start to fill the air.
Tony moaned happily. "Thanks Jarvis. Night."
"Good night sir."

But yeah...totally trying to get past that [nod nod]
Anyways...I know we aren't the only ones who have a kink for these kind of fics. To be honest, I only heard of Alpha/Omega-verse through the Merlin fandom kinkmeme. I didn't care too much about the characterization...but there was also knotting in there that made me go "Oh come one...one step away from werewolves!" My other kink is werewolf![insert character] since I don't see too many of them compared to vampires. N E ways... :) heheh Omega!Tony <3<3<3
