Rough Drafts Due!

By the end of the 31st at the latest please send me a copy of your draft.  You can reach me at my personal e-mail; dalyceschwarz [at] saintmikesalum.com (sorry for the long e-mail address).  I ask that all e-mails have 'Big Bang Rough Draft' as the subject line and have your fic as a .doc

I don't see a drop-put post anywhere, so I'm putting this here. I, unfortunately, will have to drop out from this big bang challenge. I have very little done, and I don't think I could come up with a decent rough draft before the 31st. I do hope to participate next year, though.

I have the story half written, with a detailed outline for the rest. I will try to fill in as much as I can by the 31st but there's no way it's going to be a complete draft. Real life just got crazy for me about a month ago and that hampered me, and the story is needing a lot more than 10k words to tell in the way I want to tell it, that does it justice.

However, I already have a beta who is reading it chapter by chapter anyway and she's started in on the parts I have completed, so it's not like I need a beta.

...is that against the rules? She's my regular beta and I do all my stuff with her. I haven't published it anywhere or anything like that.

Also I'm still okay being a beta for someone else, because time will free up for me after next week.

Be careful taking on beta duties when your still having trouble with your fic, but that's your call. I still need you to e-mail me what you have as well as the other info I requested. In this case, the written chapters and the outline would be best, thanks.

I totally killed the story I had in mind and changed most of the plot. Am I awesome? Yes, I am. Obviously.

So, how many pages should the rough draft have? I can most likely give a summary for each chapter I am planning, and then in general an outline for the story. Would that be okay?

In the same way the rough draft does not need to have 10,000 words it also does not have any sort of set page length. It sounds like you have an outline written, which is sufficient to submit at this stage, but it does need to be very detailed so go ahead and send it to me.

okay. yes, I have an outline. I'll try sending you it in the course of the day. is it okay if you have a quick look at it and tell me if it is detailed enough, because I am not sure if it is yet :/
