I'm glad to read about Hermitage. it is really big place.
my favorite room in Hermitage -- exhibition of Egypt, i spend many hours nine years ago in this room. not only one exhibition attracts me. in Hermitage you can travel every day, walking from room to room and discover almost all history of all arts of mankind.

I'm sure I will love the Hermitage, if I ever get the opportunity to visit. It seems much like the Metropolitan Museum which I love so much here in NY. And like you, my favorite section there is Ancient Egypt!:)
