i hope you appreciate what a wonderful place ny is. it's my hometown and now that i'm in maine i miss it everyday. i know exactly what you're talking about - new york is not the cynical, harsh place that it is made out to be in movies or on tv. it's a place where you can meet random people, have a life changing conversation, and revel in the fact that you'll probably never see them again, but then that's the most beautiful part of the city. the people, the interactions that can be a minute long but you'll always remember them.
