008. Starbucks & Evil Store

Oct 15, 2015 20:55

Thursdays Trisha, Diane and I try to get together for coffee (at least). Lately with Trisha and my brother fixing up their house, she's been so busy (and us too when we head over there the help)...but she took a break tonight and we all got together at Starbucks for some great laughs, fun conversation and delicious goodness ( Read more... )

feeling: great, bff: diane, went: shopping, feeling: happy, planning: trip, feeling: amused, went: to hang out, bff: trisha, photography: cell phone shot, went: out to eat, photography: food

I am typically a black coffee drinker, but something about Starbucks always makes me get their flavored lattes because they taste so yummy hahah, but all other places (even at home) it’s pure black :D

Those small boats are fun too. We have small island off the coast over here, and we’ve taken one of those small ‘speed boats’ to get there to spend the day. It was fun :D

Hmmm, almond syrup ... That actually sounds pretty good. I wonder if ours here has it. I will have to check when I get home now, ha!

I love dark coffee. I would have an espresso every morning if some place made them as good as my brother does. I usually only have one now at his place on the weekends.

If the water is rough, I get pretty motion sick too. It's one of my fears for this cruise since we're going in November. I'm hoping the water isn't too choppy.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into liking Starbucks. I am a Tim Horton's fan, but only the cold coffee drinks. That flatbread sandwich looks delicious though!
I wish we had Target still, the store in my town didn't do so well against Walmart and then they pulled all stores out of Canada. I loved the seasonal selections there and found myself easily spending $100 dollars lol.

Yeah, I think all my friends who like Tim Horton's call me pretensions HAHA, but they are from Canada and are Tim Horton's lovers :D So I forgive them (or NY). We only have one Tim Horton's here, but it's about 40 minutes away, so I rarely drink it, but I like their stuff too :D

I can't drink Starbucks coffee, but their lattes get me every time. Especially their seasonal ones. Typically I only go there for latte. If I want actual coffee I make it at home (black) or go to Dunkin Donuts (black too) lol.

That sucks about Target getting pulled out ): I find their stuff better quality than Wal*marts and typically not too much more than them. I find Wal*mart quite evil so I try to avoid it if I can (only go when desperate, though when I was younger I practically lived at Wal*mart lol).

I think one of things that drives me away from Starbucks is the price. It's cheaper to get coffee and goodies at Timmies and I think it tastes better. I normally don't like pumpkin spice flavoured things except the actual pie, but I recently got into a Timmies iced capp with pumpkin pie shot, no whip cream and crumble...it's delicious! You should try if you are ever near there sometime :) And the only coffee I drink at home is the international delight pre-mixed ice coffee in mocha flavour, I haven't bought any lately because I'm too addicted haha

I don't really have a choice but to go to Walmart, but I love it actually. We do have The Real Canadian Superstore, but not really a fan.

Ever been to Canada?

That pumpkin deliciousness from Timmies sounds awesome. I so want one right now ... lmao! :D Maybe have to drive by there this week.

I have family up there, but they live in Toronto/Hamilton. Ive been a few times, but we never went shopping except in Toronto. My cousins live down the street from a mall there so we usually go there. Lol we don't explore much ):

where are you cruising out of/to?

We're leaving out NYC (I'm hoping it's dark when we depart so I can get some nice landscape night shots LOL) and we're cruising down to Florida for one day (I think we land on our third day), and then we spend two days in the Bahamas, and then we're back to NY for two days on the ocean. I'm pretty excited :D

If you're docking at Florida for just a day, I imagine it'll be Miami or the Keys. Cape Canaveral is where all the ones here depart from, but I don't see them docking you there for a day as there's pretty much NOTHING there other than the NASA site.

Wherever it is, it's an hour from Universal, because that's what everyone wants to do while we're there Lol. *pulls up her cruise app* Yep, port Canaveral it is :D

Isn't Starbucks the evil empire?

I hope you're going to post a pic of your hair?!

Haha! Yeah, some do think they are :D

It depends on how it looks, lmao If it looks good, definitely! If it looks like I should wear a hat for the next 4 months, then nope rofl

The graham latte is good, I would order it more often if that amount of caffeine didn't wind me up like crazy, lol.

That cruise sounds really cool. I've never been on one, or to an ice bar -- that's two birds with one stone. What cruise line is this?

I think thats what kept me up most of last night. I didn't expect it to be that strong ... must drink it earlier, haha!

It's the Norwegian line. My friend just got back from going on this one and she really loved it.
