what it's like to read Bradbury? Every time I pick something of his up (which is far too infrequently) it truly is like coming home. fascinating, cool, and kinda freaky

tonight was a scrounge for dinner night. found a box of fettuccine. cooked that. made a sauce of a can of pumpkin puree, about 2/3 of a 16 oz. container of light sour cream, some skim milk, seasoned well with adobo and Mrs. Dash table blend (much more adobo), little pat of butter for fun. has been declared acceptable. hmmm.

where's the snow? I look at the radar, we're covered in blue. I feel so domestic when I use the crock pot. I have a pork loin going today that should in theory be apricot glazed when done. I think the snow geese have begun their yearly invasion. I think I've admitted before that I'm a bit of a YA novel junkie. Well, the past 2 days have been lost in the reading of more. The Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. Well worth reading imo. Plot has the flavor of several other novels but it still is rather captivating. I don't know how long I can wait for the last of this ( Read more... )
