Just some random thoughts and a general warning

Alrighty, I should probably mention where I've been for so long. Most of you already know, I have lupus as well as some other health problems. It's been one hell of a year with my health. I've also had quite a lot of drama in that world they call "real life". Nothing good, I might add. Struggling financially and under A LOT of stress right now

Welcome back, and there's nothing wrong with plain icons. If you ever want someone to vent on re the health issues feel free to drop me an email, I battle the Sjogrens, Fibro, 4 forms of Arthritis, and Hip Dysplasia among other issues so can relate fully.

Thank you :) I've found it really hard to find other people with Sjogren's Syndrome... which was my primary problem for many years. So I may take you up on that. Is good to have someone who can relate.

I hear you, my first experience with it was following a tooth extraction, my face started swelling like a balloon and I thought it was from that, turned out it was my first Sjogrens flare and a blockage with a salivary duct, I spent 5 days in the hospital on morphine having the doctors press on my face every few hours trying to force the pus out of it. Not fun at all. The worst thing for me now is the hyper-sensitivity to tastes and the splitting of my tongue.

I'm really sorry to hear about your health problems. Sounds really nasty. Both Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome are autoimmune as well. It's scary how many things can go wrong with our immune systems and the problems they can cause. I am glad you are doing better. :)
