as i sit with my lsat score rolling around inside it's sort of like the clang when a quarter rolls around an otherwise empty tin can...i'm not sure what to do with it ( Read more... )

I definately think you should talk to an admissions officer before you do anything. I mean, I know nothing about LSAT scores BUT I do know that all it is is a vehicle for getting what you want, and if you have not talked to admissions officers you don't know whether the score you have will get you there or not. Ultimately, your LSAT score is not going to be something that defines you, that you will want to use to impress people with, or that you will even think about for long after the admission process. And, I'm pretty sure you actually did really well and just had very high expectations for yourself, don't get so down on yourself over this, take it for what it is and move forward!

I agree with all of the above and especially that your LSAT score does not define who you are and what you are capable of. If you can truly believe this then I would say, go and kick ass on the LSATS. If you do better than the first time, great. If not, that's okay too.

You are brilliant. And you are extraordinary. A number cannot validate that. Don't let it.
