Mike was glad to hear from his mom. There was a part of him that was even more happy to hear her offer to take the kids for a day. He hadn't had any time with Butterfly in weeks. He didn't ask Butterfly. Instead he just packed up the kids while she was still asleep. Mike spent about a half hour settling the kids in with Grandma McKay and Uncle Bob

Butterfly had gotten up somewhere along the way and got a shower, so she was loungin, sleeping on the bed in a towel wrapped around her, looking comfortable but one leg hanging off the edge.

Mike laid there for some time just catching his breath and stroking her stomach.

She curled up into him and closed her eyes, stifling a tiny yawn before nuzzling into his chest.

Mike gave her a quick kiss before sitting up. He started rubbing her legs and feet.

"Trying to make sure I'm comfortable baby?"

Mike kissed each of the toes on the foot he was massaging. Maybe.

She laughed softly and relaxed a bit. Her motherly instincts though kept expecting the baby to start crying.

Mike put down that foot and started on the other. He was glad to see her relax.
