Mike was glad to hear from his mom. There was a part of him that was even more happy to hear her offer to take the kids for a day. He hadn't had any time with Butterfly in weeks. Butterfly had gotten up somewhere along the way and got a shower, so she was loungin, sleeping on the bed in a towel wrapped around her, looking comfortable but one leg hanging off the edge.

Mike stopped in the doorway watching her sleep. He hadn't had the time to do that in quiet for a long time now.

Mike watched for a bit longer before walking over to the bed. He was still angry and wanting to kill despite days having past since Thomas was hurt. The rage wrapped up in the way Butterfly looked barely covered in a towel twisted up his insides. Mike reached down, kneeling on the edge of the bed as he grabbed Butterfly by the throat. As soon as he had a hold of her he took a kiss.
