Angel Lite, Chapter One

So there's a lot of Twilight snark around.  So, in lieu of all that, I've decided to try a hand at some of my own snark: Angel Lite. ("Angel Lite" as a reference to the TV show, of course.) I don't entirely loathe them, I just have many, many issues with the concept of a girl throwing her life away for a HAWT BOI. IRL that sort of thing has caused me heartache, because I've been on the receiving end of it.

I can't get rid of the impression that Bella is in fact forty, and one of those creepy people conning themselves into high school to relive their youth the way it should have been, with all the knowledge (and bitterness, and a slew of other terrible personality traits) they have now.

She definitely doesn't seem to act or think like a kid. I mean, being mature for her age is one thing - so was I, and so were a lot of kids I knew. But there's things she says and does that makes her seem 40.
