It's not enough
I'm working my ass off (literally, I've lost weight since taking this job) and it never seems to be enough. I spend my days trouble shooting equipment and processes and fire fighting. What little time is left is taken up by inventories and ordering and training my employees. My predecessor left me with a load of crap and gave me no training or ( Read more... ) -
Just when I think . . .
Just when I think I'm starting to make progress and do well at the mill, shit hits the fan. Yesterday was nice and quiet. There were things on my to do list, but they all needed parts on their way or maintenance or E&I to do work. Things were good. It seems like all the good ones are gone
So the last time I had a guy in my life was in 2006. That's five years ago - which sounds even worse now that I see it in writing. Since then I've been on a couple dates with the nurse from the Evadale mill and had a one nighter with a friend I hadn't seen in forever. I hate making wish lists for Christmas. I always feel greedy. And if there's something I really want, I tend to put a lot of thought into the specifics I'm after and feel guilty asking for something in such detail or if I don't specify the details and I'm disappointed in it I feel more guilty ( Read more... ) -

Quiet Thanksgiving
I'm sitting in my barn watching Candy sniff aroung the yard and listeding to the horses shuffle in the pasture. I have call duty this weekend so I didn't go to Kingwood for Thanksgiving.
