A link for Ourdramaqueen and you other Sherlockians. It's the Youtube Hitler Parody version of Hitler's reaction to Reichenbach Fall! Even Hitler goes mad for the eyesex! There are a few others like this but this is good for those of us needing a vent. :Dhttp://www.youtube.com/

I'm actually re-reading the entire SH canon just to see if I can figure out HOW HE FUCKING DID THAT. It's driving me crazy.

Heh heh heh. Actually I doubt canon had much to do with it. I've read a few theories and so far I agree with those who say he jumped into a truck filled with squashy stuff, then dropped onto the pavement. John's obscured viewpoint meant he didn't see the entire fall, and it was edited so we didn't see it either. Can't wait to see if that's right!

I agree, that's the most plausible theory. The truck with laundry/garbage bags conveniently waited to leave until just after Sherlock jumped... and that low building prevented John from seeing the last bit of the fall - and why else would Sherlock have told him to walk back and then stay exactly where he was?

Argh and we'll have to wait another year plus to find out... *sob*

Yes, and the scenario was one that had to fool the watching assassin as well. Gods, just film it already!

I read a bit of canon and was surprised to find Watson didn't even witness the supposed fall. Sheesh, a bit of a cop-out there, Conan Doyle.

ROTFL! Thanks! It's really bizarre watching these Hitler/[fill in the blank] parodies when you can understand the German dialogue - it takes effort to tune it out. Still funny. *g*

"I'll read Alone on the Water" - omg!!! That is one fic guaranteed to make me cry. Every. Single. Time.

Oooh, I didn't think of the language thing - yes, that must be tricky!

Ahh, that fic. I was wary of it at first, character death and all, but the damned thing is so memorable and devastating. *sob*

Tell me about it!!! I'm such a sucker for angsty fic, and among the death!fic that's out there in Sherlock fandom, this is certainly among my favourites.

*using this icon in here because if anyone reads this entry without knowing what happens in TRF, they have themselves to blame if they're totally spoiled*

Hee, it's screening in the US very soon so we won't have to worry about spoilers, I hope. (((John!))) Poor baby.

I love reading all the fic out there, there's so much that I can afford to be picky. Angsty!Grieving!John rules. Especially when he gets a good reunion scene. I long to see how they will do it.

Funny! :D

(But I'm with the poster above - all the parodies using this scene are difficult to stay completely focused on when you understand what he's saying. *shudders*)

Understandably, considering the subject matter. :/ The actor does a marvellous ranty job though. I bet there are other film scenes that could be used to similar effect. There are times when I've felt like doing Aragorn's kick the helmet and scream scene!

Hitler has very, very strong feelings about his slashy fanboys. 'OMG I CAN'T EVEN!' 'We will be known as the fandom that waited!' His tanty speaks for so many of us...
