Rory, back from New Haven, was curled up on her bed in her grandparents' house.

Ostensibly she was tired and napping from the day - which wasn't completely a lie. The pounding in her head wasn't entirely due to that, though

How about that? Rory's cell phone rang.

Of all things.

Rory picked it up midway through the first ring because ow, shrill cell phone sounds, and said, "Hello?"

"Busy?" Anakin asked.

[auroryborealis]

"Hardly," Rory said, smiling. "What am I missing?"

[emo_padawan]

"Oh yeah?" Anakin asked, leaning his head against his hand as he shifted on the bed. "The power of their libraries making you rethink anything?"

"Not really. It's just something to consider," Rory said. "Also, I had to wear a fluffy dress last night."

[emo_padawan]

"A fluffy dress? Why?" Anakin sounded concerned. "Does this have anything to do with that ugly dwarf named Colin or whatever you met earlier?"

"Grandma and Grandpa threw me a party," Rory said. "For me to meet all the sons of their friends."

"Presents?" Anakin repeated. "As in more than one?"

"Two," she replied, stifling a yawn.

"I'm spoiled," Anakin said. "And you're tired. You should go take a nap or something."

"I spoil because I love," she said sleepily. "And yeah, a nap sounds nice. Talk to you tomorrow?"
