"Hi," Rory replied. "Tell me something interesting happened today."

"I introduced Willow to Vladdie," Anakin said. "Does that work?"

"Oh em gee, finally. She's been wanting to meet him forever and ever."

She paused.

"She didn't soul him, right?"

"You're messing with me again, aren't you?"

"A little. He does think you need a haircut. He said that about Dean, too, though. I think my dad has an obsession with my boyfriends' hair," Rory said. "But no, we talked about lots of stuff."

"Tell him that this is not my choice in haircuts," Anakin said grumpily. "As soon as I'm knighted, I'm growing it out. And maybe dying it purple. I'm not sure.

He sighed. "So, Gigi's getting big? Do you have pictures?"

"Purple's not your color," she said. "And yes, I do have pictures. You can see when I'm back. Oh, and Grandpa has made it his mission as an amateur geologist to figure out what this funny blue stone around my neck is."

"I'm not on drugs," Anakin said, sounding hurt. "There were actual singing pieces of fruit."

"Were they someone's food?" Rory asked, confused.

"No," Anakin said. "They were called the California Raisins. They wore gloves and stuff."
