Hey Parker -

I need your advice. You seem to have really good taste, and I’m really bad at choosing stuff like this…which of these two dresses should I wear out with Logan on Friday?

#1 says "I am the prom date who with one mis-step could be shimmying out of this dress in five seconds." (Only wear this when you definitely want to get lucky, Gilmore.)

#2 says "I am demure but sexy, and since you can't immediately find the zipper, this will require more effort than alcohol. Take me dancing." [Although, lose the white ruffled thing on the hip. Ech.]

Either way, the jacket works and says "I am an adult, and you must treat me as one."

I hate it when clothes talk to me...

Slingbacks!

Get back to me on that.

Yeah, I didn't like that stupid hip flower, either. And I think I'll go with the black one, if only because I'm so sick of wearing blue and gray - sure, it brings out my eyes, but black is so much more sophisticated.

Which raises the question - should the shoes be black, or white? I'm thinking black, seeing as how it's after Labor Day - but rules like that are made to be broken sometimes.

What do you think?

Rory:

To quote our contemporaries, duh. Black *and* white. Goes with the dress and the jacket. Slingbacks in these colors emphasize the ankles and the arch. Makes you look older, but attainable.

Just not *too* attainable.

Can't believe I'm reduced to giving fashion advice...

(And you're seeing him again, hmm. Things must be going well?)

Parker -

I guess it's going well - we have reservations at that nice restaurant that opened recently so...yeah. I don't know. It's hard to read him. I don't know if he's doing this to make up for the other night, or not. I don't care either way, because I plan to be charming and irresistible.

Hmm. I have black and white polka-dotted slingbacks. Too childish? I mean, I like polka-dots, but clothes don't talk to me, so the dots could be lethal without my knowledge.
