Rory had had a very, very busy weekend. She'd woken up and put band-aids on John, cheered up a tree with Luke, then played at the beach with Anakin, who she was gonna marry when she got big enough. She'd also played with Rikku and Vladdie and a kittycat, and then today she'd gone upstairs and found ICE CREAM. And a BEAR

Luke bounced into the room. "Rory-ory-ory-ory hi!"

"Sure he can," Luke said with a pout. "Daddy can do 'nything!"

"Yeah but he's far 'way," she said. "S'okay, I have a phone!" She waved her cell phone at him.

"YAY PHONE!" Luke shouted, then yawned.

Not that he was tired. AT ALL. Nope.

"I dunno the number," she said, frowning at the buttons.

"Is there one that says 'Daddy?'" Luke asked.

"No, an' even then it'd go to my daddy, not yours," she told him.

"Oh," Luke said. "How 'bout that one in the middle 'cause Daddy's the most important-est person?"

Rory poked the 5. "IS RINGING!!" she squealed excitedly.

Anakin's voice answered immediately. "What's wrong?"

The smile was obvious in his voice. "Hello, love. Are you all ready for bed?"

"We're not sleepy but we wanted to make sure you weren't scared of the dark!" she said loudly.

"'We,' huh?" Anakin grinned. "Is Luke with you?"

"Uh huh!" Rory held up the phone so Luke could say hi.
