After dropping off her coffeemaker with Alex and stopping by the Perk as a result, Rory returned to her own room for the first time since Friday, and crawled into bed after barely pausing to kick off her shoes.

With a low whistle, she called Vladdie over to nestle against her, and promptly fell into a much-needed sleep.

Luke tapped on the door, then cracked it open to see if she was there.

When he saw her asleep on the bed, he tried to close the door without being noticed.

Vladdie was awake though. So he greeted Luke with all of his shrill little voice.

Rory cracked an eye. "Hey, you."

"You were sleeping," Luke said, hovering in the doorway. "I can come back later. I just wanted to see how you were."

"I'm awake," she said, sitting up. "I'm fine. Jake's back. Everything's okay. Come on in."
