I hadn't thought of Ilana as crying for Jacob. I thought she was crying for her people that Smokey killed. But maybe it was Jacob or both.

Jacob's ladder. *Groan* I hadn't even thought of that. LOL

While I didn't think of that S1 scene with Locke in the rain, a lot of people did. So, I bet it was intentional.

I know! Haha. I liked how you could see his reflection in the mirror, but it felt so heavy-handed to me. Like the writers were saying, JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN'T GET THAT LOCKE IS THE SMOKE MONSTER, HERE HE IS MOVING LIKE THE SMOKE MONSTER AND SOUNDING LIKE IT AND TRANSFORMING BACK INTO LOCKE!

My husband thought the same thing...I dunno, it just didn't seem like she was really paying any attention to the bodies. Maybe I'm expecting the writers to be too obvious and reading too much into her just staring off into space.

You used to hate Hurley?? Why?The height of my hatred was during season 3. After his mythology connections during season 2, I felt like the writers really dropped the ball with him and relegated him to saying 'dude' and getting a couple bad jokes per episode. If I think about it, I realise that I began liking him by the end of season 3. Well, 'Tricia Tanaka is Dead' was such a great episode, ( ... )

I thought - and I could be wrong - but isn't Ilana Jacob's daughter? That scene from last season when he visited her in that field hospital...I thought it was mentioned then. I could be wrong though cos I spend all my attention Ben-watching...

Speaking of whom...man, was he sexy wearing just that tshirt,..very geeky getting out the grave...wonderful eulogy...and he was SEXY SEXY SEXY as the teacher!

I don't think it's mentioned in that scene, but I'm familiar with the speculation.

Ben was so great as a teacher, haha.

Though I have to take issue with your icon...European history has always been sexy. ;)

BRITISH history is sexy. European history involves the word "Europe" which I hate with every fibre of my being.

The ONLY thing even remotely acceptable about Europe is that Ben is now a European History teacher...

Wow, really? All of it? Greeks, Romans, Scythians, Celts, Teutoberg Forest, medieval successor states, the Crusades, etc...the whole she-bang? I think I feel faint... ;)

I really loved the funeral scene. It seemed like Ben was going to cry.

I actually liked the "Jacob's ladder" part. It was nice to have a little action in the episode.
