More hippie crap.... Sound Awakening Concert

I'm not sure yet if I want to go to this event, but it sounds interesting. I've been to a couple Sound Awakening sessions at the Earth Gatherings (as mentioned in my previous post). Each time has been interesting and very relaxing. I keep meaning to check them out when they do stuff in town, but haven't gotten around to it yet. If anyone else is ( Read more... )

Damn! I love the didj, but I can't afford the cover charge. Wah.

Thanks for posting all these events, by the way! Law school is in the process of eating me alive, and I'm glad to see notifications of all these interesting things I could go to in whatever bits of spare time I have left.

School has been awesome, exhausting and overwhelming. It's not necessarily that law school is hard--the material is generally not difficult, once you wrap your head around the legal paradigm and play along with its terms instead of fighting it. It's just that there's a LOT of it. I calculated yesterday that I have between 200 to 250 pages to read per week for five classes. If I work fast (take quick notes, or forgo note-taking and just highlight the bejesus out of my casebooks) I can bust through at the rate of 5 minutes per page. Realistically, though, it's closer to 10 minutes, and the denser material takes closer to 15. That means that per week, I'm spending anywhere from 1250 to 3000 minutes on schoolwork. That's anywhere from 20 to 50 hours.

Good thing I find a lot of this interesting, or I'd be screwed, screwwwwwwed.
