More hippie crap.... Sound Awakening Concert
I'm not sure yet if I want to go to this event, but it sounds interesting. I've been to a couple Sound Awakening sessions at the Earth Gatherings (as mentioned in my previous post). Each time has been interesting and very relaxing. I keep meaning to check them out when they do stuff in town, but haven't gotten around to it yet. If anyone else is interested, let me know! =)

Last minute plans have found the extraordinary didjeridu player Ondrej Smeykal from Prauge here in Portland with an extra day before flying back to Europe. We have invited him to join us at Tibet Spirit on Tuesday, September 2nd.
His playing style is quite a departure from our usual meditative Sound Awakening evening but this was an opportunity not to be missed and we are excited to share the evening with him.
As a result, we invite you to come prepared for a two-part didjeridu filled event. The first part will be Ondrej playing solo. His style is very powerful, dynamic and unique. You can check out more about him and hear some of his music at : http://www.smeykal.com/eng

The second part of the evening Tom Lange and Jen Ervast will slow it down as you lay back and receive the deep harmonics of the didjeridu, Tibetan singing bowl, gong, flute and more. We will share the soundwaves directly with you as we walk through the room playing on and over you... a sound meditation journey with instruments from around the world.
CDs will be available for sale.
Bring a pillow and blanket for your comfort - seating will be on the floor with extremely limited chairs available. Please contact me in advance if you will need a chair.
